As a new user, you may wish to learn a few things that will be useful in your editing:

• For a basic overview of wiki code, see this page.
• The manual of style is very important. Make sure to read it. It outlines all official policies of Bulbapedia.
• The word Pokémon is spelled with a capital P and an accented é. The P, of course, is accessed easily by holding Shift and pressing the P key, while the é can be accessed using Alt + 130 or Alt + 0233 on a Windows computer, and Option + e, then e again on a Mac. Otherwise, you can click it in the character palette below the editbox.
• The word Poké Ball is spelled as two words. The "Poké" part is identical to the four beginning letters in "Pokémon"; "Ball" is spelled with a captial B (which is, again, accessed by holding Shift and pressing the B key). The spelling "Pokéball" arises frequently, but is incorrect.
• The word "you" and all forms of it should not be used on encyclopedic pages unless it is a quote from Pokémon media. Bulbapedia is an encyclopedia, not a walkthrough.
• On talk pages, please sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).
• The use of link templates is official policy. For an explanation on their use, see the page on shortlinks.
• If you happen to spot a vandal in the recent changes that has not been dealt with, please see this page for how to deal with it.

You know....

Honestly, get a life. Do you have nothing better to do than go and call people names because they think a Pokémon is gay?

"They wouldn't put gays in a kids show". Oh how I love it when they use this excuse. Japanese culture =/= American culture. Ever heard of an anime called Sailor Moon? That was a show directed at kids, yet two of the main characters were lesbians. Japan isn't afraid of showing homosexuality in their kids shows like America is.

While it's true that Pokémon can't be gay in the games, the games don't always mean the same thing in the anime. Like levels don't appear to exist or Pokémon can learn moves that they can't normally learn in the games.

That makes him girly at most. Anabel is usually mistaken for a male by the characters, and in the japanese version, she refers to herself as "Boku", a pronoun used by males. And yet she had a crush on Ash, which means that she's just a tomboy, not a lesbian. Spideym 05:31, 2 January 2009 (UTC)

Yeah right... I don't think so. When a man wants to be called "Miss" by others, than that usually means gay. Anabel doesn't wanted to be called a boy. The anime hints that he's gay. Ok, you win. He's supposed to be seen as gay by the older audience due to the hints you mentioned. Likewise, Ash's Charizard isn't a gay Pokémon, but a male, due to the fact that the writers strongly hinted at the later and never gave us a reason to think the opposite. Talk Page Comments

Please don't erase talk page comments for no reason. Trust me, you do NOT want to end up like Big Johnno, who got into an edit war with a sysop over comments the former had erased and was trying to keep erased.
