I actually first got obsessed with [[Pokémon]] on the animé. (Yes, I know, shame on me.) Mainly because I didn't have a GameBoy at the time. I like raising Water Pokémon because there's a lot of choice and a lot of Water Pokémon are really cool, and I also have a lot of Normal-type Pokémon and moves I like. (I really like {{m|Hyper Beam}} even though in the game it's a bit rubbish.) My first Pokémon ever was a Chikorita which I obtained in my Pokémon Silver. :) | |||

Everything else relies on vitamins - or in some cases, nothing at all, random EVs from completing the game with them as a starter or Pokémon League-spamming. Most of the Pokémon I own are nature-bred... sort of.
