Rustboro City (Japanese: カナズミシティ Kanazumi City) is a metropolis located in western Hoenn. It is one of the largest cities in the region. The city's motto is "The City Probing the Integration of Nature and Science."
Pokémon Trainers often come to Rustboro City in order to win the Stonebadge from Roxanne, the Rustboro Gym Leader who specializes in Rock-type Pokémon.
Rustboro serves as the headquarters for the Devon Corporation, a company which makes many Items for Pokémon Trainers. In the south section of the town is an apartment complex for Devon employees.
A Cutter lives near the Pokémon Center. When they were expanding the city of Rustboro, the Cutter had his Pokémon use Cut to help clear the land of trees.
Also near Pokémon Center is the Pokémon Trainer's School. Their motto is "We'll Teach You Anything about Pokémon!" The teacher has a Quick Claw.
North of Rustboro City is Route 115 and a one-way route leading south from Meteor Falls, however, Surf can be used to travel back north once players have the Balancebadge.
Northwest of the city is Route 116, and Rusturf Tunnel beyond, which connects the Rustboro City area to Verdanturf Town.
South of Rustboro is Route 104, and beyond that the Petalburg Woods.
