I don't know if it's true, but the movie makes it look like Zoroark can make illusions. (that's what Movie 13 is about right?) Could someone post on the page about that? i noticed that when you convert all of the pokemon's height/weight convert the length in meter to feet and inches it is the same as the us amount. So why doesn't it have it on the page? Zoroark's is 5'03" and it weighs 178lbs 13oz... |

Name
I thought I read somewhere that one way of transliterating the name would be “Zoroaaku”... “aku” is “evil”, right?( Note, I am NOT suggestinga pagemoeoranything dumb like that, I can clearly see that the official Romaji is Zoroark, I am just talking about name-origin stuff.) --LaprasBoi 11:18, 11 February 2010 (UTC)
- Well on Zorua, they've noted that Zorro is Spanish for fox, which is likely the name origin. With Zoroark, it might be combined with either "Dark" or "Aku", and Zorua might be an altered form of that, similar to Lucario and Riolu. I'm pretty sure I read that transliteration too; correct me if I'm wrong, but the only difference in Zorua and Zoroark's names is "aku". Aura-Knight 13:24, 11 February 2010 (UTC)
Picture
I was getting sick of seeing the image which had been ripped out of corocoro with the big rip on it so i put it into photoshop and added the bits that were missing but i dont know how to add it
- Nice. But see, we are waiting for the official art to come out. It will not take us weeks to get them, I guess. The current image is okay for now. Kevzo8 12:58, 11 February 2010 (UTC)
- WATERMARK = BAD. TTEchidna 13:29, 11 February 2010 (UTC)
- I think we should use this image for now (temporarily). Because its better than the current one on the article and the watermark won't be visible because headers are mostly small. We will change this image when a better picture will be available. What do you think?--♫♪Adyniz♪♫ 13:41, 11 February 2010 (UTC)
- WATERMARK = BAD. TTEchidna 13:29, 11 February 2010 (UTC)
I went back into photoshop and took the watermark off for you i hope its useable now :D - Louispierce
- Looks OK. --GEN1KING 00:12, 12 February 2010 (UTC)

Possibly based on a troll?
The face of Zoroark looks to be of a mix of a fox, wolf, and a troll, due to its devilish smile. The pointed muzzle also reminds me of the tengu's. - 050294 19:32, 11 February 2010 (UTC)
- Maybe, but I think it is probably about 95% based on a kitsune. 梅子❄❅ 19:35, 11 February 2010 (UTC)
- Well, of course. I just thought this tidbit of info would be a nice addition to the origins section. - 050294 20:37, 11 February 2010 (UTC)
I don't know much about trolls, but his mischievous smile certainly stands out to me. Maybe he'll be a big prankster?(I am really new, if I messed something up, or I'm not supposed to be here, just let me know) - unsigned comment from PichuMaster (talk • contribs)
- Well, I'm not quite an expert, but always remember to sign your talk page comments with four squiggly line thingeys, or press the signature button above the header. Thanks :) (I would post this on your talk page if the server didn't have an error every time I hit the history button. --GEN1KING 00:29, 12 February 2010 (UTC)
Thanks Gen1king! Like this right? --PichuMaster 02:49, 12 February 2010 (UTC)
- Anyways, back on topic. The mischievous smile is a common trait of trolls and tengus, as well as some demons. The claws of Zoroark are also similar to a ground troll's, badger's, or shrew's. Anyone with access to the page want to add it? I find it interesting. Now, what could the green pearl possibly symbolize... - 050294 03:07, 12 February 2010 (UTC)
It might be worth note that when I saw the picture, his claws immediately looked like Latios's. Anyone else think so to? PichuMaster 20:03, 12 February 2010 (UTC)
Interwiki link to Pokéteca
There's an article about Zoroark on Pokéteca now, so can someone who has the ability to edit this article add in the interwiki link? I'd do it myself, but since it's protected... --Blaziken257 05:49, 12 February 2010 (UTC)
Eye color
I think the different eye colors should be mentioned. On the artwork it has green eyes, where in the movie the eyes are blue (or vice-versa, I'm not sure)
plus look at the other color differences in the picsVkickass 04:50, 13 February 2010 (UTC)
Trivias, please add this to the trivia section
Me and my friend noticed that Zoroark has a similar colorations except yellow as Roark especially its hair color, also Zoroark contains the name or Roark in its name and sharing the same snout and nose from that of Lucario... this may explain that each are counterparts of their own Generations. Hope we helped"☆AngelGuardian☆" 10:34, 12 February 2010 (UTC)
- No. Roark's hair is a different color, and Roark's Japanese name isn't "Roark", but "Hyouta" or something. The Lucario-thing is a bit of a stretch too, really, although they can be compared in other ways already described in the article. FireMeowth 10:48, 12 February 2010 (UTC)
