Blaze (Japanese: もうか Raging Flames) is an ability introduced in Generation III. Twelve Pokémon have this ability; each one of them is a member of the evolution family of Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, or Sinnoh's Template:Type2 starter Pokémon.
Effect
In battle
When a Pokémon with Blaze uses a Fire-type move, if it has a third or less of its maximum HP remaining, the damage inflicted will be 1.5× greater.
Outside of battle
Blaze has no effect outside of battle.
Pokémon Mystery Dungeon
In Pokémon Mystery Dungeon, Blaze will deal double the damage if the Pokémon using it is below 25% of its HP.

Dual ability
No Pokémon have Blaze as one of their two abilities.
Other
It has been revealed that Pokabu, the Isshu Fire-type starter Pokémon, has the ability Blaze, but it is unknown if Blaze is its only ability.
In the anime
Blaziken. Blaziken's body becomes surrounded by fire.
- Activated by May's Blaziken from Once More with Reeling! to Present. Debut.
Chimchar. Chimchar's body becomes surrounded by fire, or the flame on Chimchar's backside grows larger, and its fire attacks become more powerful.
- Activated by Ash's Chimchar from Shapes of Things to Come! to Evolving Strategies.
Monferno. Monferno flame on its tail grows larger, and its fire attacks become more powerful.
