On this page it says that the move quadruples the chance of getting a critical hit. Assuming that focus energy increased it by 2 stages instead of 1, I believe this is being represented inaccurately anyway, as only if it is unaffected by any other critical hit enhancers would it quadruple the chance of getting a critical hit. For instance, if you used focus energy followed by a slash the critical hit chance would be 33.3% as opposed to 50% since it would be a stage 4 critical hit stage.
