Release Information

This card was available at the Tokyo Pokémon Center and given to visitors on their birthday (provided that they had a birth certificate as evidence).

Trivia

  • This was the first new "Birthday Pikachu" to be produced since the original in 1998 (there was a reprint of the original with different artwork released in 2001). Its release was likely tied to the continuing Pokémon 10th Anniversary celebrations in Japan.
  • The card was released as a Jumbo card, unlike previous versions.
  • The card features a plain foil silver border.
