why have you revert it?
i know the color was not perfect, but one template is better than 16 (and the idea was not bad)
and [[Template:User Favorite Arceus]], why did you revert this change? <nowiki><font></nowiki> is deprecated, and why
as should we not use color2 and pcolor ? --[[User:Hanmac|Hanmac]] 06:54, 20 July 2010 (UTC)

Welcome

Bulbapedia logo.png
Welcome to Bulbapedia, Umeko!

Here are a few links to help you get started:

The Manual of Style, or MoS, outlines the format of all pages on Bulbapedia.

All of our administrators are here to help! Talk to them if you have any questions or problems with Bulbapedia.

On talk pages, please sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~), or by using the "Your signature with a timestamp" (button_sig.png) button at the top of the edit window.

The Userspace Policy says that you should keep userspace edits (edits to User:Umeko) to a minimum, and outlines a few other guidelines for your userspace.

For a complete list of policies and editing advice, please see the Welcome Portal.
Thank you, and have a good time editing here!

Sorry

Sorry, I won't do those synopsizes anymore. Have a good day :) --Aaml1101 09:50, 12 July 2010 (UTC)

Hey buddy !!!

Hey buddy, can you please tell me the name of that book or magazine in which you saw that Zoey's Gastrodon news. --♫♪Adyniz♪♫ 05:17, 7 October 2009 (UTC)

Sure thing! The book is ポケットモンスターダイヤモンド・パールまるわかりじてん; its ISBN number is 978-4097510345, and it's available to order on Amazon.co.jp. It's actually a board book (like the kind made for toddlers, so that they can chew on the book or whatever without doing any serious damage), but it's pretty neat. :3 梅子 05:51, 7 October 2009 (UTC)
Thanks a lot buddy. --♫♪Adyniz♪♫ 10:45, 7 October 2009 (UTC)

Your Userpage

Just wanted to say, it looks awesome! Nice work ;) Blake Talk·Edits 16:17, 13 October 2009 (UTC)

Haha, thanks! Good to know that the overwhelming pink doesn't put off everyone. XD 梅子 16:32, 13 October 2009 (UTC)
I've also liked it much! :D Also, I'm now following you in twitter :) - RikkiKitsune 17:03, 13 October 2009 (UTC)

it kinda should belong in the special abilities section though. i mean i get what you're saying, but is there anyway that stuff can be there? people dont read the trivia anyway when they're looking for the abilities of Pokémon (; - unsigned comment from TheLastCharmander (talkcontribs)

You're userpage looks quite amazing, how do you get all of them boxes and such though? - unsigned comment from ShinyGlaceon (talkcontribs)

Which boxes do you mean? You could look at the coding (by clicking "edit this page" at the top) to see if you can figure out how it all works; if you can't figure it out, tell me what you don't understand and I'll try explaining.
Anyway, on another note, please sign comments with four tildes (~~~~), not the {{unsigned}} template. Thanks! 梅子 01:22, 15 February 2010 (UTC)

Pretty much the Pokemon trainer boxes and grouping segments for each section into a box and such. Also userboxes? Don't quite understand those as much either. =[ Sorry if it's a bother I ask so much. ShinyGlaceon 01:25, 15 February 2010 (UTC)ShinyGlaceon

Userboxes are simple enough - just put {{User [Whatever]}}, like {{User Likes Blue}} or {{User HeartGold}}. Browse through the various user tags to see what's there for you to use.
Trainer boxes, like these? I basically (very heavily) modified the {{Party}} template. Take a look at this for an example of how to use that template.
To group everything into boxes I just put everything into a huge table - take a look at the code of my page to see how I did it, but in its most basic form a table is coded something like so:
{|
|-
| cell one
| cell two
|-
| cell three
| cell four
|}
Which ends up looking like this:
cell one cell two
cell three cell four
Hope this helps? 梅子 02:49, 15 February 2010 (UTC)
Still a bit confusing but I'll figure it out. :P ShinyGlaceon 15:59, 15 February 2010 (UTC)

One last question. how did you get the userboxes like that so they only appear when you hit a show button? ShinyGlaceon 15:50, 18 February 2010 (UTC)

Pokédex entry

Can you create a user template for this? As in, User:Umeko/Pokédex? That could possibly be used in the mainspace. Maybe. When you're done, talk to Nate. ht14 02:10, 15 October 2009 (UTC)

You mean the one at the very top of my userpage? 梅子 02:17, 15 October 2009 (UTC)
Yup. ht14 02:17, 15 October 2009 (UTC)
Sure, I'll try! I still don't completely understand how to make templates (the only one I've made so far has been Template:User PokéWalker), but this should be a good opportunity to learn. :) 梅子 02:21, 15 October 2009 (UTC)

In case you're wondering

Next time, if the conversation starts on your user talk page, leave it there. Anyhow, it's not the main thing I wanted to talk about. Here. This may help you in your edits. It's specifically designed for those who have "nothing to do" on the wiki. ht14 03:39, 15 October 2009 (UTC)

You mean me commenting on your talk page? Ah, I kind of felt like that was sort of a different conversation than the one above... kind of. And I wasn't sure if you'd see it if I edited my talk... But thanks for the link! 梅子 03:42, 15 October 2009 (UTC)

Color category descriptions

Why did you remove my color category descriptions on the List of Pokémon by color article? I personally think it makes the article more informative. Andros 1337 18:24, 6 December 2009 (UTC)

I didn't think they were necessary, and when I asked the Echidna-in-Chief, he agreed and gave me the go-ahead to remove them. 梅子 19:09, 6 December 2009 (UTC)

HGSS Pokédex entries

I don't know if you're somewhat in charge of this right now but shouldn't the HGSS Dex entries be listed as "Currently unknown" or in Japanese with monospaced English (through the tt element)? It's because I'm seeing lots of Pokémon articles with the HGSS entries in English, making those unaware to think that the games' English versions have been released. =S Pokemon lover 19:01, 4 January 2010 (UTC)

Haha, I'm not in charge of anything, but I can answer your question. The HGSS entries for Gen III and IV Pokemon are being listed with {{tt}} (or they should be; if they aren't then someone's gonna get a beating). The entries for the Gen I and II Pokemon are exactly the same as they were in Gold and Silver, so those are there in English (fifty bucks says that if NoA does make any changes to their translations, it would be the odd punctuation or grammatical tweaking in maybe two entries). That's how the Dex entries have been since September, the EB has always been in support of that (they can slap me upside the head if I'm misinformed here), and if someone is under the impression that HGSS is released in English simply because there are English Dex entries then I think that's the least of their problems. :P 梅子 19:26, 4 January 2010 (UTC)
I know you aren't in charge, but I think you said that you were going to get the JP Dex entries and translate them to English (using the {{tt}} element, of course), that's why I asked you. ;-) So it seems you're gonna have to beat someone or someones 'cause I might have saw some Gen III & IV Pokémon articles with English Dex entries that weren't following the rules.
And thanks for noticing that stupid mistake on Crystal's article. -______- Pokemon lover 23:22, 4 January 2010 (UTC)
Okay, I just went over all Generation III & IV Pokémon entries and fixed the perpetrators. It's a good you brought it up too because I was able to fix some of the entries that were wrong >_< ... we still have a bit of work to do to finish the entries off though haha... (Yaminokame 01:42, 5 January 2010 (UTC))
ご苦労さん :P I keep thinking to myself that I should translate some more entries... but then I look over at the Kanto-side guidebook/Pokedex and the size of the thing just makes me shudder. 8D;; 梅子 01:45, 5 January 2010 (UTC)
haha ;) Unfortunately I don't have that much time to fill them in right now with the English translations, but I can try to move over the dex entries that I filled in on the ポケモンWiki Pokémon pages at least for right now :p ... that should at least get that out of the way so we can continue the fun part and hopefully finish them all off haha ^^ (Yaminokame 06:33, 5 January 2010 (UTC))
I'm glad I could help. =) Pokemon lover 21:20, 5 January 2010 (UTC)

Sooo... yeah. I didn't get an edit conflict or anything, so sorry about that. And I didn't get one for when CK reverted it either, even though I was trying to revert it at the same time as him. R.A. Hunter Blade 05:12, 7 January 2010 (UTC)

OP13 image

Hi there! May I see where this consensus was held? --Nick., something to say? 15:40, 8 January 2010 (UTC)

Over AIM. 梅子 16:31, 8 January 2010 (UTC)
Um. I'd just like to say that it's better if it were a public consensus. I have no problems with it anyway, just thought the other one reflected more the spirit of the OP and not just a random shot of legendaries. --Nick., something to say? 00:26, 9 January 2010 (UTC)
Most of the admins were there at the time, as well as TTE. If something has happened "over AIM", then it's been approved by multiple EB members, admins, etc.--RexRacer 00:34, 9 January 2010 (UTC)
Nate was too - he specifically told me to revert it, actually - and he's EiC of the Archives. (And btw Japanese fans have nicknamed the new OP "Legendary Pokemon Bargain Sale," so a random shot of legendaries is totally relevant.) 梅子 00:35, 9 January 2010 (UTC)
I'm not thinking you lied or something. I just think that this kind of things should be public - if anyone have doubts, then it's open for him to find out what happened.--Nick., something to say? 02:02, 9 January 2010 (UTC)
Image reversion policy. ie. if an image gets reverted it's pretty safe to assume that's what happened: it was passed by an admin (or several) and approved. 梅子 02:08, 9 January 2010 (UTC)
It's alright then. Missed the article since I left this wiki a long time ago. Sorry for everything, btw --Nick., something to say? 02:13, 9 January 2010 (UTC)

Shudo's novelizations

Hello, Umeko! Are you going to keep updating the notes about Shudo's novelizations of the anime? They are truly interesting.

Guille Skye 16:28, 8 January 2010 (UTC)

Pokémon Mobile System

Hi Umeko. =) Can you translate me this, please? It's because the only information that Google Translator gave me that I fully comprehended was that the service was shut down on December 14, 2002. Pokemon lover 17:17, 8 January 2010 (UTC)

I would love to translate that... in five hours. Stupid work computers don't display Japanese text. *shakes fist* 梅子 17:31, 8 January 2010 (UTC)
They must be running Windows XP. But don't mind with that, I'm not in a hurry. ;-)
BTW, can you tell me your country's time zone? Just for curiosity. Mine's WET. Pokemon lover 17:43, 8 January 2010 (UTC)
Haha, well I run XP at home too. They just don't have Japanese fonts installed here. (Btw, if you find someone else willing to translate before I get home, don't wait for me or anything. XD)
I'm in EST. :) 梅子 18:19, 8 January 2010 (UTC)
Okay, so basically that page says that, as was announced in May 2002, The Gameboy Mobile System shut down on December 14, 2002, and it thanks everyone for using it. There is a note, however, that players of Pokemon Crystal will still be able to trade and battle with friends using the mobile system. 梅子 23:14, 8 January 2010 (UTC)
Thx. =) BTW, do you know what the DION was? I googled it and found this. It seems to have been some sort of service provider, that was also discontinued, more precisely 4 days after the Mobile System was shut down. Pokemon lover 13:41, 9 January 2010 (UTC)
Looks like it's an internet connection service. 梅子 16:54, 9 January 2010 (UTC)

PokeGods

I notice you've been updating the PokéGods page. I was wondering why you were doing so, and where you've been getting your information, if anywhere other than your head. Redstar 18:03, 11 January 2010 (UTC)

Why: Because it was a huge phenomenon back in the day, and thus a notable part of the fandom's history.
Where: Ugly-ass fansites created in 1998-2000.
I really should get back to that article though, I kind of left it half-finished. 梅子 18:07, 11 January 2010 (UTC)
Just curious. It's just a bit coincidental that this page has begun being updated simultaneously as the only definitive PokeGod page on the Internet, so I wanted to be sure no theft was involved. Carry on. Redstar 18:29, 11 January 2010 (UTC)

Translation and confirmation

Please and thank you in advance.darklordtrom 13:36, 16 January 2010 (UTC)

According to the article on the Japanese wiki, the bulletin boards were shut down on December 31st (which I did notice before), and that in the last third of the month updates to the site will become irregular.
On the Pokeani site itself, all I've found is that updates will temporarily come to a halt in mid-January. 梅子 19:32, 16 January 2010 (UTC)
Hold on, I just noticed this page on Pokeani.
Thanks for always accessing this site.
Due to personal reasons, by the end of December, this site's (Pokeani's) updates will be temporarily halted.
I am not thinking of closing the site itself. But for a short while from now on, I will mostly have no time to update the site, and even watching (or recording) the anime on Thursdays will be difficult (so quick updates will be impossible). There are various reasons, and this is what I've decided.
At this point in time, I don't know when I'll be able to resume updates. I'll probably resume when things calm down. However, I'm expecting that even after reopening, it will be difficult to return to the site's current update style, so I'm considering switching over to being a wiki site.
Also, for purely my own convenience I will be closing all the bulletin boards and polls by the end of December. (Because I really can't moderate them from now on.)
Webmaster
Yup. There's something on the front page that implies that updates are planned to resume around spring or summer, though. 梅子 19:47, 16 January 2010 (UTC)

Game art

Not sure how much you know of this, but what do you make of this? We don't have that image in the Archives, and I'm wondering if it was released with certain games, like say FR/LG. ht14 22:42, 17 January 2010 (UTC)

Huh. If I were to guess, I'd say it looks like something that would have possibly been put up on the Game Freak blog (or something similar)? I've never seen it before though. 梅子 22:45, 17 January 2010 (UTC)

Battrio

I think this has practically no info... so help... do you have the game? ht14 15:15, 18 January 2010 (UTC)

Battrio is an arcade game; I imagine that it would be insanely expensive to import one. :P I plan on (hopefully) trying it out when I'm in Japan in March, but I will not be able to offer any information before then. 梅子 19:56, 18 January 2010 (UTC)
Ok, but I guess you could say I'm focusing a lot on the chips. ht14 21:34, 18 January 2010 (UTC)
Hmm. Well that, too, will have to wait until March, as I'm saving my money to blow in Japan rather than blow now and have to pay overseas shipping, haha. 梅子 21:37, 18 January 2010 (UTC)

Charizard offical Sugimori's art

Well the real Sugimori's art is the picture with the real colors, the image before than this one. The another one is only a fanart.

Pedraito 21:15, 31 January 2010 (UTC)

...No. The other one is Sugimori's art, with the colors corrected a bit. It is not fanart. 梅子 21:17, 31 January 2010 (UTC)

~

No... Sugimori colored Charizard with these color. No with new color! The offical site of pokemon the color not are this .I prefer the new color but the REAL COLORS is the before. The image must be change!

Pedraito 21:47, 31 January 2010 (UTC)

The current art sure is fan-made. Look at Charizard's art on both TPC's and TPCi's online Dexes. ;-) ポケモンあいこうか 18:34, 21 February 2010 (UTC)
Oh boy, I'm so excited that this debate has made it back to my talkpage!
Let me get the appropriate parties to explain it to you. 梅子 22:06, 21 February 2010 (UTC)
It's not fanmade. It's just badly color-corrected. TTEchidna 22:11, 21 February 2010 (UTC)
Either way it was altered. I don't know why there was need for correction anyway but it's your choice after all. IMO, this is more of the "OMG! CHARIZARDZ LOOKZ BETTERZ!" reaction people will get than anything else. Same goes for Charmander. ポケモンあいこうか 14:09, 22 February 2010 (UTC)
Sigh... okay, please read here. I suggest reading it all, but if you decide not to, the basic gist of it is that Game Freak saved the images as CMYK (cyan-magenta-yellow-black) because the images were intended for printed material. Official sites have used those images as-is instead of converting them to RGB (red-green-blue) for computer displays, so they do not look as they should. The images on the archives are being converted from CMYK to RGB, so that they display on computers as they were meant to be. 梅子 15:49, 22 February 2010 (UTC)
OK, I now know that the artwork is being converted, not altered. If so, I don't have a problem with it. Just a question, though, color correction is not considered fanart in any circumstance, correct? I'm just asking to avoid future complaints. ;-) ポケモンあいこうか 16:14, 22 February 2010 (UTC)
Honestly, I can't imagine how color correction could ever be fanart in the first place. I guess the definition of "fanart" is up to personal interpretation, but in my opinion I've always figured that fanart meant... actually drawing (or painting, or whatever) something from one's own imagination, just using characters from another person's work (eg. drawing Charizard in a pose imagined up by the fanartist him/herself). Buuuut then we could also get into a debate into what art is in general, and that's a whole other can of worms that I'd rather not touch. 梅子 16:20, 22 February 2010 (UTC)
The only reason why I called it fanart in the first place was due to my unawareness of the process being used. But since some people may not have figured that out yet, I was just trying to clear any doubts left. ポケモンあいこうか 16:26, 22 February 2010 (UTC)

So then you're just stalking my activity then? Heh. She herself also admitted it was auburn as far as she was concerned. Why is it you insist on keeping information that is clearly not correct? Getsuei 06:52, 14 February 2010 (UTC)

I was watching the Recent Changes, as I usually do. I was not stalking you specifically. 梅子 06:54, 14 February 2010 (UTC)
Well you could've fooled me. Still, I don't appreciate the attitudes of the people on this wiki. I've been disagreed with on other wiki sites, but my god this wiki is ridiculous. Everyone here seems to think the same. Agree with us or give up. Majority rules in any case. Getsuei 06:57, 14 February 2010 (UTC)
As you've mentioned several times before, these characters' hair colors are never explicitly stated in canon, and thus the colors listed are merely opinion - and the opinion that we go with is the one that the majority agrees on. Just because you believe your opinion is "fact" does not make it so; it is still opinion, and an unpopular one at that. If we succumb to one person who disagrees, we will then be bombarded with complaints from... everyone else. So yes. Majority rules. 梅子 07:05, 14 February 2010 (UTC)
Doesn't seem to justify it to me. And while in some cases I would see how without statements my opinion is just that, I don't base my opinion on just that, I base it on what I know to be fact. It is not my opinion his hair is clearly a shade of orange, it is not my opinion his hair is not brown. It's just simply so. If it were stated his hair was brown, I would honestly have never thought to argue in the first place. It is just unfortunate I had to argue with people who were clearly not knowledgeable enough on the subject. Getsuei 07:08, 14 February 2010 (UTC)
Yes, well unfortunately my major in school is game development, not hair chromatology. 梅子 07:11, 14 February 2010 (UTC)
Yeah, well that's a little obvious for me. I think we're done here. :) Getsuei 07:17, 14 February 2010 (UTC)
Yes, I do believe you are done here. 梅子 07:18, 14 February 2010 (UTC)

French versions of HeartGold and SoulSilver coming out in Canada

Just learned something weird. Canadians will not only have the English North American version, but also the French(from France) versions availlable for both games. However, the names will NOT be 'Coeur doré' or 'Âme argentée' but will be 'Or Heartgold' and 'Argent SoulSilver'. Maybe this trivia should be added to the HGSS game page(which is protected so only admins can edit.) The Canadian French version is the exact same as the one released in France. Here are the images from Toys R Us Canada : TokoyamiTheDark 19:52, 23 February 2010 (UTC)

Umm, okay. I'm not an admin though, so I suggest you ask one of them to handle this. :D;; 梅子 19:53, 23 February 2010 (UTC)
So basically, Canada is now getting the French versions too, right? The French names for the games are already known and Canada is getting the European French version, not a Canadian French one, much like the UK receives the USA version, only with possible mistakes fixed (e.g.: Mawile's name incorrectly spelled Mawhile in its Pokédex entry in USA RS). ;-) And I'm not counting the censorship the European versions have suffered since Platinum. ポケモンあいこうか 21:58, 23 February 2010 (UTC)

Your Pichu Usertag

Hi, I noticed that you edited the usertag on my page. You don't mind that I took it from your profile, do you? I couldn't find anything else for Pikachu Colored Pichu. If you do mind, I can take it off, however. By the way, why does everyone think that you are an admin, lol? I did at first as well, because I misread one of your usertags. Littlmiget123 02:58, 6 March 2010 (UTC)

Haha, nope, I don't mind at all. :3 I edited it because the template was moved from my userspace into the template namespace, and the redirect on my userspace needed to be deleted. :P
As for why people think I'm an admin... I have no idea. Because I edit a lot, because I know the rules, because I'm friends with the real admins...? Hell if I know. \o/ 梅子 03:01, 6 March 2010 (UTC)
Okay, because I meant to ask you if I could use it, but it totally slipped my mind, sorry for... plagarizing (that's what it is, right?). Hi! I just LOVE your party template :D It's so colourful and pretty! So i take this to make my own, but there are some problems...the overworld sprite of Palkia and Pelipper doesn't show, and i don't understand how to show that my Froslass arrived from Hoenn by Pal Park..i hope you can help me :)

Project Games

It seems that only the game infobox template is still kind of... old fashioned. As you are the project leader now, can you tell whether this would be good enough? A few changes here and there and it should be good enugh for use. What do you think? --Sher-e-Bengal- 11:38, 31 March 2010 (UTC)

Sorry for the late reply; I wasn't ignoring you, really! XD I just needed to find something and I couldn't for the life of me remember where it was.
Anyway, it looks like we already have a new infobox made up for games, though it hasn't been implemented yet (presumably because emot-effort.gif). The way I see it, there are pros and cons to both yours and Buzz's, but what do you think? :/ 梅子 03:43, 2 April 2010 (UTC)
Sorry for the late reply on my turn now (stupid internet connection). Well, I think Buzz's the better one to look at. As for the effort, I think I will be able to put in a lot of effort in changing the templates now if my stupid modem doesn't do any more stupid things... So, should we start changing them? --Sher-e-Bengal- 08:09, 7 April 2010 (UTC)
Hmm... I'd like to hold off at least a few more days. My main concern with Buzz's template is that the game pairs with red/green or red/blue color schemes are just really eye-hurty. (Diamond and Pearl's colors are questionable... I think they look fine on my laptop, but on this computer it's just the teeniest bit of a pain to look at.) I've been trying to think of some sort of way to get around that, haha...
On the other hand, it's not like {{GenInfo}} is much better in that regard... hmm.
Anyway, now that you've reminded me of the template it's been bumped up to near the top of my to-do list. Your help in implementing it once it's totally finalized would be greatly appreciated though - spring fever seems to have hit me pretty hard, and I've got a bunch of make-up schoolwork to do if I want to graduate next month. Tea Party in Ranger 3

Could you please elaborate on what exactly this is? Needless to say, it surprised me to see it in the page. --The Great Butler 02:50, 29 April 2010 (UTC)

Tea Party is a small organization (a group of four certain people) who oversee the Pokemon Nappers' activities - they have superiority over even Purple Eye, making them the true leaders of the Nappers. There is, in fact, one person among those four who unquestionably is the leader of Tea Party (and thus of the Nappers), but since it's a huge spoiler I thought it would be more appropriate to add the name of the group in the "Leader" section of the Pokemon Nappers infobox. (I'm assuming here that the page you're referring to is Pokémon Nappers...)
I've been wanting to get a text dump of Ranger 3 so that I could write up detailed and accurate articles about characters and groups like Tea Party - I certainly can't remember everything that was stated in-game, especially when there's a bit of a language barrier there - but so far my attempts have been unsuccessful, so... 梅子 05:39, 29 April 2010 (UTC)

Question

Isn't this not allowed? «ιɴмɴιαc» 00:22, 2 July 2010 (UTC)

Hmmmmm. I, personally, don't see much of a problem with it - it's somewhat similar to just putting a link to the article in question, except in this case you're just... forced to instantly access the link.
I mean, it's not disallowed as per the userspace policy, and it's not like you're ABSOLUTELY REQUIRED to have a userpage with such-and-such information about yourself on it. I don't see it as being any more harmful than having no userpage at all.
But that's just me. You might want to ask someone else. :V 梅子 00:46, 2 July 2010 (UTC)

For translation of ベル.

Isn't beru better until there is an announcement official? Sawamular101 03:26, 13 July 2010 (UTC)

Under other circumstances, yes, but since the name origin is pretty clear in this case (the word for "white" in Russian, or some similar language), there isn't any reason not to spell it as "Bel." 梅子 03:42, 13 July 2010 (UTC)

http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Tate_and_Liza

"Tate and Liza" is Japanese version and "[Fuu] and R(L)an. "Ran is described lan though Japanese named [fuuran] is an origin. It should explain that it is a translation informal until there is a formal announcement. Sawamular101 03:44, 13 July 2010 (UTC)

Possibly, but since this is all pre-release information, it is generally assumed that we are only making our best guess of the translation. Take Chiramii, Meguroko, and Giaru as examples - I'd bet anything that those will not be the official spellings of their names, but those are the best guesses we have made for now, and we don't really need to state that they are guesses.
Cheren's name actually could also be spelled "Ceren," but we're just going with "Cheren" for now. If it turns out to be different, we will change it, but for now it doesn't really need to be stated that we don't know the official spelling yet. 梅子 03:52, 13 July 2010 (UTC)
It should explain that it is a guess in case of the guess. Is it difficult to add the explanation? Sawamular101 03:56, 13 July 2010 (UTC)
There isn't really a place where such an explanation would fit, no... I did, however, just go and add {{Upcoming notice}} to my Cheren and Bel articles, though. This indicates that since the subjects of the articles are from games that have not yet been released, any information in the articles (such as the spelling of their names) are subject to change. 梅子 04:01, 13 July 2010 (UTC)
It is strange to make the guess a title. I leave though I do not consent. Thank you for the explanation. Sawamular101 04:20, 13 July 2010 (UTC)
Well, the other thing is that it isn't an official article yet - it's just a work in progress in my userspace. ^^; If the other admins want to have it at another name when it gets moved to the mainspace, the title can be easily changed then. For the moment, I could even have it at User:Umeko/That airhead girl if I wanted to. :P (Back when the Purple Eye article was still in my userspace, I had his Japanese name down as アップルパイ as a joke, but since it wasn't an official article at the time it didn't matter. XD) 梅子 04:28, 13 July 2010 (UTC)

There is a town named Byala in Bulgaria. Byala means white in a Bulgarian language.

It is written in Japan as [ビャラ]. It is quite different from the [ベル]. Sawamular101 03:51, 14 July 2010 (UTC)

I realize that the Bulgarian word for "white" is not an exact match to her name; бял would be written ビャル in Japanese, and I'm not trying to argue that that isn't how it's pronounced. However, it is remaining there as a possible name origin for various reasons, even if бел is more identical. 梅子 04:02, 14 July 2010 (UTC)
It gives priority to the amateur's guess more than original Japanese. May I think that BULBAPEDIA is such a place? "Upcoming notice" is guess person's welcome security guard.
You know that I am using the machine translation. The sentence is filled in exaggeratedly as translated easily. It apologizes when I impolitely hear it in my unskilled English. Sawamular101 06:27, 15 July 2010 (UTC)
What exactly do you mean by "amateur," out of curiosity? ここで日本語を話せてもいいですよ。機械翻訳はとても大変ですからね。 梅子 06:35, 15 July 2010 (UTC)
Sawamular101 07:54, 15 July 2010 (UTC)
09:14, 15 July 2010 (UTC)
日本語が通じる方が居て助かっています。ここの運営方針に口出さないようにします。説明有難う御座いました。 Sawamular101 10:47, 15 July 2010 (UTC)
Read what I've typed in the section below. Also, about "Byala". It's something that a native English or Japanese speakers don't quite understand - in Slavic languages adjectives have GENDERS. So, "Byal" is masculine, "Byala" is feminine etc. It's common to all Slavic languages. --Maxim 10:57, 15 July 2010 (UTC)
こちらこそ、考え方の説明ありがとうございました。こんな事を考え続きます。
(さっきの「大好物」って・・・なに考えたの、私!?orz)
And what the hell, Maxim, that has nothing to do with this discussion. Thanks for the edit conflict. 梅子 11:01, 15 July 2010 (UTC)
You're welcome. Actually, that's what happens when you reply on your own page instead of the other user's. We should really have a policy on this, just like Wikipedia does. But admins here are very adamant about this, as they do this themselves all the time. --Maxim 12:39, 15 July 2010 (UTC)
Absolutely nothing you just said made even an iota of sense. 梅子 17:56, 15 July 2010 (UTC)

Bel

"бял" is "bial", "byal", or "bjal", depending on which romanization system you use, but it is never "bel". "бел", however, is always transcribed as "bel".

cool story bro. Now stop spamming. 梅子 01:42, 14 July 2010 (UTC)
This means that Bel's name comes from the Russian word for white, rather than the Bulgarian one. --Shiny Noctowl 01:46, 14 July 2010 (UTC)
OMG. Some people are too stupid to understand. It's not "Russian" or "Bulgarian". It's Slavic. In all Slavic languages the word for "white" is very similar to each other. It can't really be said what exactly language is it derived from. It's a common Slavic root. --Maxim 10:08, 15 July 2010 (UTC)

Edit request

I guess things don't quite work out the way I'd like it, since I did put it on the talk page... but, can I edit your White (game) page, seeing as it's the rules and I don't want to get in trouble... again... ? ht14 22:55, 15 July 2010 (UTC)

Derp, I'm sorry, it looks like I forgot to put that page on my watchlist, so I didn't get a talkpage notif. Sure, I was going to tell people to go ahead and reword stuff if they felt the need to, because I'm kind of under the weather today and don't feel like I worded stuff too well at all. XD Just, if you wouldn't mind, don't change the actual structure of the page too much... I think that's fine the way it is. :V 梅子 23:01, 15 July 2010 (UTC)

Editing My User Page

I've edited (contributed) to main pages, yet it won't let me create my own user page yet. :( KurosakisTwin 03:06, 16 July 2010 (UTC)

You have to edit a certain (undisclosed) number of times before you can edit your userpage. Once you hit that number of mainspace edits, your userpage will be automatically unlocked to you.
Just keep on making mainspace edits, and you'll be able to create your user page before long. 梅子 03:08, 16 July 2010 (UTC)

revert

why have you revert it? i know the color was not perfect, but one template is better than 16 (and the idea was not bad) and Template:User Favorite Arceus, why did you revert this change? <font> is deprecated, and why as should we not use color2 and pcolor ? --Hanmac 06:54, 20 July 2010 (UTC)
