I remember playing Ruby and walking around near the top of the desert-area. I encountered a wild Sandshrew, but it was silver as if it was stuck in defense curl. It also showed the shiny twinkle animation when it entered battle. My friend, who also owns Ruby, claims to have also seen a wild silver sandshrew in the same place, as if it was a scripted encounter... Is there an explanation for this? Also note that at the time I did not know about shiny Pokemon or anything of the like so I ran away. [[User:Absolution|Absolution]] 15:42, 24 July 2010 (UTC)

:Odd, especially seeing as shiny Sandshrew are light green rather than silver.  Where exactly in the top of the desert area did this happen?  If it really was programmed to be there, I'll probably be able to find it.  If I can't find it, then it probably wasn't programmed, and you and your friend just happened to both find shiny Sandshrew there.  Incidentially, are you sure it was silver and not light green?  <small>- ''unsigned comment from [[User:Missingno. Absolution 15:42, 24 July 2010 (UTC)

Odd, especially seeing as shiny Sandshrew are light green rather than silver. - unsigned comment from Missingno. Master (talkcontribs) 23:17, 24 July 2010 (UTC)
