Thick Fat (Japanese: あついしぼう Thick Fat) is an ability introduced in Generation III. Sixteen Pokémon have this ability, many of which already possess elemental types that make Template:Type2 and Template:Type2 moves ineffective.

Effect

In battle

Thick Fat gives the user heat and cold protection, therefore halving the power of Template:Type2 and Template:Type2 moves.

Outside of battle

Thick Fat has no effect outside of battle.
