Guts (Japanese: こんじょう Guts) is an ability introduced in Generation III. Twenty-one Pokémon can have this ability.
Effect
In battle
Guts raises the Attack stat by 50% while affected by the Burn, Paralysis, or Poison status ailments. The Attack drop from Burn does not occur. In Generation IV, the Attack stat is also raised by the Sleep status ailment, even self-induced sleep.
Outside of battle
Guts has no effect outside of battle.
Mystery Dungeon
A Pokémon with this ability will gain a 100% bonus to physical attack, provided that the Pokémon has a major status affliction.

Ursaring. After being affected by a status ailment, Ursaring's eyes glow red, then its body becomes surrounded by a crimson aura.
