Release information
This card was released in Japan as part of a Meiji Chocolate campaign in March 2008. It was subsequently reprinted as a holographic card in the Regigigas LV.X Collection Pack released in April 2009.
Trivia
The "East Sea" part of Shellos's name is a subcategorization of the card to allow it to only evolve into its respective Gastrodon form.
Origin
Surf and Muddy Water are both moves in the Pokémon games that Shellos can learn, the former only via HM03. The card's Pokédex entry comes from Pokémon Pearl.
