Something which may be considered an error is the fact that the 3 Legendary Birds, as they appear in this movie, are approximately 3 times their actual size. Though Lugia seems to be the right size (about 17 feet long) or slightly smaller (compared to Ash), Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres are shown to be about the same size as Lugia, even though their pokedex entries list them as 5'7", 5'3", and 6'7" respectively. Though this may be a factor of why Lawrence III's computer called them 'unique,' it is not acurate to the pokedex or other depictions of the Legendary Birds. Mew?
There's a small cameo of Mew. Source: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FjTc-XXKLyw&feature=related at 8:11 Rodyn 21:12, 3 August 2008 (UTC)
U have a good eye! I found it too!--KukiTalk 21:20, 3 August 2008 (UTC)
- Huh? I can't see it... Are you talking about that pink thing standing with all the Pokémon at the left? Because if so, it's poor quality but it looks more like a Jigglypuff. Did I miss something? --electAbuzzzz (TALK) 21:52, 3 August 2008 (UTC)
Yeah, and the head shape can't be a Jiggly--KukiTalk 21:54, 3 August 2008 (UTC)
- Well, it's too big to be Mew. This video is very low quality, if someone could look on the DVD maybe it would clarify it. But I really doubt a Mew cameo would go unnoticed for almost a decade... --electAbuzzzz (TALK) 21:58, 3 August 2008 (UTC)
No it definitely is Mew--KukiTalk 22:04, 3 August 2008 (UTC)
Sorry guys, its Jiggly. I have it on tape. plus, its to big to be Mew! and look at those eyes! Mooites 22:37, 3 August 2008 (UTC)
NO, look @ the LEFT Side. That head can't b Jigglypuff's!--KukiTalk 22:39, 3 August 2008 (UTC)
- Kuki, if a guy with a tape says it's Jiggly, than it's Jiggly. Surely he didn't just MISS the left one. It definitely looks like Jiggly to me. --electAbuzzzz (TALK) 22:49, 3 August 2008 (UTC)
The pink @ the right is Jiggly--KukiTalk 22:49, 3 August 2008 (UTC)
- I know. They both are. This argument is silly. --electAbuzzzz (TALK) 22:51, 3 August 2008 (UTC)
Pause it. Look @ the head ahapre of the left pink Poké. Get bak to me--KukiTalk 22:53, 3 August 2008 (UTC)
- Yeah... I forgot to specify specifically where it was. Like Kuki said, it's on the left of the screen, RIGHT next to the Venusaur. Rodyn 22:58, 3 August 2008 (UTC)
- Ugh. When you say low-quality, you mean low-quality.
- Anyway, I saw a Cubone that could probably be mistaken for Mew. At least, at that resolution. --Martonimos((Argh|Blargh)) 23:09, 3 August 2008 (UTC)
Martonimos has a point. And Mew can move around in the air, so y would it b standing with Pokémon who can't?--KukiTalk 23:13, 3 August 2008 (UTC)
- An easter egg, I'm assuming. Rodyn 23:15, 3 August 2008 (UTC)
- I know which one you meant, Rodyn. It's still a Jiggly. Not a Mew. They both are. I'm repeating myself here. And Kuki, don't change other people's comments, even if they're badly worded. This isn't the first time you're doing this. --electAbuzzzz (TALK) 23:16, 3 August 2008 (UTC)
- I'm pretty sure they're talking about the thing I think is Cubone, man.
- By the way, I assume you're talking about what happens around 8:10 in that video (so nobody else has to watch the whole frakkin' thing to find it)? And I'd also like to add that there are two of the Cubone/Mew thing; one on the left near Venasaur, and one on the right near Parasect, nearly hidden by the edge of the cliff. --Martonimos((Argh|Blargh)) 23:18, 3 August 2008 (UTC)

Ah, yeah, now that I've looked at it for about 5 minutes straight, I can see the round shape to it. Definitely a Jigglypuff. And here I thought I found some hidden easter egg that almost no one discovered... Rodyn 23:25, 3 August 2008 (UTC)
But what about the Cubone/Mew?--KukiTalk 23:34, 3 August 2008 (UTC)
- That's what I'm referring to. And I tossed out a lot of my movies, Pokémon ones included, a few months ago to clear space. So it's unlikely I'll be able to get to double-check first-hand. Rodyn 23:39, 3 August 2008 (UTC)
Its CUBONE! I just re-watched it on tape and paused it to look closeley. You can see it's little eye holes. sorry, it did look like Jiggly to me at first.. so CUBONE! Mooites 02:02, 25 August 2008 (UTC)
- It is cubone. You can see the Skull and the eye holesDCM
Itdefinitly isn't Mew. It is either Cubone or Jigglypuff. More likely Cubone, as it can't swim nor fly, unlike the other two.Nintendofan146B 20:15, 28 September 2008 (UTC)
Okay, so I've got it paused right here and those things don't look anything like Jigglypuff to me. It couldn't be Mew, so it must be Cubone with only the head shown. Or maybe this person just added them. I'll have to look at my tape of it to be sure (too bad I won't visit my grandparents house where the tape is until the summer.)--Starlight_the_ampharos 21:32, 11 February 2009 (UTC)
Charizard
So, apparently it aired just before Charizard Chills. I don't remember Charizard being disobediant in the movie. Does this mean that Charizard cared more about the fate of the world than it cared about Ash (at least at the time), so it was willing to get off its lazy *** and help Ash get to Ice Island; or does it mean that they pulled a Mewtwo's Counterattack in Japan again - releasing the movie before where it actually belongs? For those who don't know what I mean, in Japan, Mewtwo Strikes Back was released prior to all the Mewtwo Cameos in the anime. Thus the link-ins with the Movie, scenes that we all saw before the movie came out, such as Gary losing to Mewtwo or Mewtwo destroying the Rocket HQ near Pallet Town, actually appeared in Japan after they appeared in the movie, thus pointing out that the movie's events happened at a later time than at the release episode in Japan.
What does this mean towards Revelation Lugia? Did the Japanese version spoil Charizard's obedience to Ash as seen in Charizard Chills, or was this simply a case of Charizard deciding that he's not apathetic enough to allow the world to die while he sleeps (hey, if Team Rocket was ready to help the Twerp, than I guess Charizard could too, if it meant he could sleep in a still existing world). What do you think? Satosuke 04:11, 16 October 2008 (UTC)
That makes since to me. Ayla 21:07, 19 October 2008 (UTC)
- What makes sense? Satosuke 23:12, 19 October 2008 (UTC)
- "...a case of Charizard deciding that he's not apathetic enough to allow the world to die while he sleeps (hey, if Team Rocket was ready to help the Twerp, than I guess Charizard could too, if it meant he could sleep in a still existing world)."
That. Ayla 00:38, 30 October 2008 (UTC)
- Yeah, it does make sense. I would tend to support that opinion, considering that Mewtwo Strikes Back is seemingly the only Movie released prior to its placing in the anime, and this is the only possible reference to it being after Charizard Chills. Satosuke 05:29, 30 October 2008 (UTC)
I agree with Satosuke and Ayla here's why:
Point 1: If you watch during the intro the trio decides to release their Pokemon for some fresh air before they reach their destination. This was ultimately a plot device to allow them to showcase the Pokemon, yet if you watch closely, when Ash releases Charizard he shoots a flame in all directions and Ash and Misty both freak out right before Ash recalls Charizard. This is a familiar scenario played out over and over again throughout the Anime prior to Charizard Chills. Frequently Ash would call Charizard, he would immediately shoot a flame thrower (often at Ash) then Ash would think twice and recall him.
Point 2: Charizard has shown that he would do things that benefit Ash, if Charizard wants to. The most obvious example being defeating Magmar and enabling Ash to win the Volcano badge for the Indigo League. On top of that, as has been noted, all of the Pokemon were converging to try and help stop the world catastrophe if they could. I believe it is clear that it is for this reason that Charizard seems more helpful then would be expected prior to Charizard Chills.
Point 3: I could be wrong on this one, but I'm pretty sure that Ash never once commands Charizard to do anything (at least not on screen). There are two points where Charizard preforms a helpful act: 1) Charizard is released simultaneously with Squirtle and Bulbasaur. All 3 of them (plus Pikachu) try to break Moltres free, but Ash never actually asked any of them to do anything but to "go". 2) The second act is pulling Ash's sleigh, where once again no command was given. Ash looks at the wrecked boat, then suddenly they are already moving quickly. Obviously Charizard must have been cooperative or Ash would have never gotten a rope tied around him, but still we never directly see him "obeying Ash" which is what Charizard never once did prior to Charizard Chills.
Based on these 3 points there is no doubt in my mind that this move takes place prior to Charizard Chills and since it was released between the episodes Bound For Trouble and Charizard Chills that this should be it's place in the time line. ~Dinner4JC 13:30, 03 November 2008 (UTC)
Corsola
Hello, I think I saw a Corsola in this movie. During the segment involving "The Guardian's Song", there is a part where all the Pokemon are swimming under the Beast of the Sea, and I thought I saw a Corsola on the Gyrados' head, can anyone clarify it for me? - Robbie Newton
- Post your talk sections at the bottom of the list. Also, timestamp your posts with the four tildes (~), rather than just putting your username. That said, I highly doubt that Corsola was in the movie, and you probably had a similar moment to where I thought I saw Delibird in Holiday Hi-Jinx. It's easy to mistake watching back at old movies and episodes after you've seen the new Pokémon, because your may mind associate the new Pokémon in the same grouping as the old. That said, GenII Pokémon did start showing in the VERY FIRST EPISODE, so it is POSSIBLE, though IMPROBABLE, that you saw right. Good luck on the confirmation. Satosuke 04:20, 26 October 2008 (UTC)
- OK, watched it on DVD and I was mistaken, it was just the way they had drawn the fin on top of Gyarados' head. RobbieNewton 14:20, 26 October 2008 (UTC)
Pokemon thee Movie 2000
Where i live it's called "Pokemon the Movie 2000" Should that be mentioned? (GT4GTR 02:28, 16 December 2008 (UTC))
- The alternate title is mentioned...in the first line of the article. Lucentas 02:39, 16 December 2008 (UTC)
Pikachu/ Latias
Pikachu becomes the second Pokémon to steal Ash's hat in the film, and Ash behaves similarly to the way he did in Primeape Goes Bananas. However, when Latias steals his hat in Pokémon Heroes, Ash behaves in a more mature and friendly manner. Does this last statement really belong here? This is three movies before Pokémon Heroes takes place! Kiryu 00:46, 26 January 2009 (UTC)
error
"Ash could have given Professor Oak the GS Ball... However, it is likely that this was done on purpose" I think this is not really an error. if i remember correctly, when ash is with professor oak, he does not have his bag with him. so the gs ball might be in his bag so he could not give it. alternatively, professor oak did not ask for the gs ball too... he left before ash can give it to him. so i think the gs ball is in the bag and professor oak does not want to wait for him to get it? just my opinion -Pokeant 16:47, 12 February 2010 (UTC)

Canon
Is this movie Canon?--Darknesslover5000 02:53, 17 January 2011 (UTC)
Yes. I'd say this movie has to be canon, because in the Master Quest episode, "The Mystery is History", Ash mentions having seen a Lugia before. He says, "I saw one once in the Orange Islands." =) And I think Team Rocket comments on that too. --PokemonTrainerLisa 12:57, 17 January 2011 (UTC)
