I can't really read all this just to find one little aspect. But is there a mention of impossible to save when there is already a new save file? A different gameplay change, is what I'm saying. Usually you can save when there is already a save file, in-game, but you have to delete it at the title screen before starting a new game. | |||
-If anyone can mention this as well, if I remove my save file, will it delete my wifi info as well? As in, the events I gained. |

And... The reviews are pouring in.
Somebody should add them to the article. I would but my computer is acting all screwy right now. All I know is Famitsu gave it a 36, the reveiwers all gave it 9's. Zabbethx 19:16, 22 September 2008 (UTC)
Well...
There's still a link to Torn World in here somewhere instead of Ruined World, but I can't find it. It's important that we call it what it's been dubbed as by Nintendo, and that's the Ruined World, not the mistranslated Torn World. So, if anyone happens to see that, would you mind changing it? Thanks. --ニョロトノ666 21:14, 27 September 2008 (UTC)
- "Torn" isn't a mistranslation. Nintendo just went with something different. (Just...clearing that up...) Anyway, I don't see any links to "Torn World" after using Ctrl+F.--Loveはドコ? (talk • contribs) 01:14, 28 September 2008 (UTC)
Spring 2009 Rumor
People, that magazine scan is from Beckett Magazine. The issue that is posted in is from last November, and it is the first thing listed in this page's archive.
----HoennMaster 03:49, 29 September 2008 (UTC)
- Beckett? Then there's no way it's going on the page.
- Got that, everyone?--Loveはドコ? (talk • contribs) 04:17, 29 September 2008 (UTC)
- And the English translations normally take about 6-8 months to come out anyways. R.A. Hunter B. 01:08, 1 October 2008 (UTC)
- I personally agree with the rumor, but we still need reliable sources on release dates.--Loveはドコ? (talk • contribs) 04:13, 1 October 2008 (UTC)
- As do I, since Pt came out in Japan two weeks before DP's second anniversary, the same thing would likely happen with the English. But yes, the Beckett rumor has been around since before JAPAN had a concrete date. TTEchidna 04:28, 1 October 2008 (UTC)

Resort Area Villas
Can anyone post a pic of that? - unsigned comment from Drybones (talk • contribs)
A picture would be nice. Drybones 09:13, 3 October 2008 (UTC)Drybones: A member of Team Rootbeer.

The 'Un-DeFog-able Mist' in Eterna Forest...
Seems more like shadows being cast by Forest Canopy than the mist, with shafts of light breaking through and leaving those patches... Using the picture of Gardenia outside the Old Chateau in the Eterna Forest article as a reference, there's even an edging to it where it thins and lets a little more light through.
Or am I just being crazy? --JaffaJHDA 17:26, 17 October 2008 (UTC)
- I didn't understand... but seems like you think that it is fog? It's obvious that it's nothing but the shadows of the clouds, or the suppossed overgrown trees that cover the sky. hfc2X 20:28, 17 October 2008 (UTC)
- That's what Jaffa is trying to tell people. R.A. Hunter B. 05:29, 18 October 2008 (UTC)
- Sorry, I should have made myself more clear... It's listed in the 'Map Changes' section as a 'Mist' that can't be DeFog-ed and it's been bugging me for a while. I didn't want to jump right in and edit it without opening up a discussion first, just in case someone takes offense or disagrees... --JaffaJHDA 10:52, 18 October 2008 (UTC)
- It needs to be changed. It's misleading. R.A. Hunter B. 18:27, 19 October 2008 (UTC)

- That screen-shot is way too dark. Seriously, that shadow is nowhere as powerful on a real DS. Gywall(Talk) 20:17, 22 October 2008 (UTC)
It doesn't look like fog. Fog is more of a white. If it's not shadow cast by the trees, it would be smog. Bttsstewart 10:19, 14 December 2008 (UTC)
Hey...wait just a minute here. I think I see a HUGE mistake. These shadows are supposed to be coming from the froest canopy but, where are the trunks of these giant, overhead trees? All I can see here are the smaller trees lining the path. Bttsstewart 16:39, 18 December 2008 (UTC)
- Doesn't really matter. We'll find out when the game is realeased in English. R.A. Hunter B. 17:04, 18 December 2008 (UTC)
- Don't you have imagination? These games are RPGs!!! Houses are bigger inside than outside, don't you note it? It's because you need more imagination. Don't you remember the Ilex Forest? Those trees were even smaller than Eterna's ones, but there was a sign right after the shrine that said "Ilex Forest is dark because the trees cover the sky". It seems like they wanted to do something like that. hfc2X 21:11, 19 December 2008 (UTC)
Of course I notice that houses are bigger on the inside. I just figure that the character (and other characters) is smaller when outside than what the sprite suggests and its inside size is the 'true' size. Well, the game makers have been making mistakes for ages; shadows with no trees to cast them. Bttsstewart 14:12, 14 January 2009 (UTC)
Release Date
I added the Japanese release date to the first paragraph; if you have any problems with it, do what you wish. Mwakin21 20:09, 22 October 2008 (UTC)
My Pokémon Ranch Patch
I read this on Serebii that they got info on the patch for my Pokémon ranch for japan. Its unknown if other patches will come out in different languages. It's free to upgrade notice UPGRADE which means you have to already have it. Luckario 21:43, 23 October 2008 (UTC)
- It's not released as a patch as such. I believe it will just be re-download, like other updated titles. Anyone who hasn't brought it after it gets updated, will just download the updated version. That's how I understand it anyway, and yes - I have a Wii and have updated software on it. Gywall(Talk) 11:56, 24 October 2008 (UTC)
Crud....
Can somebody please go through the whole Platinum article to search for spelling and grammar mistakes? I had done that yesterday, even making the same changes to the trivia entry that Hfc2x just edited, but I forgot to save, leading to the changes being lost. I don't have time in the next few days to go through again, so to whoever does, thanks! R.A. Hunter B. 20:32, 29 October 2008 (UTC)
Tense Error?
I went through a few bits of the article, and I saw many "will be" and other such future tense verbs. Now that the game is out, shouldn't the verbs be in the present tense? The Dark Fiddler - Smarter than the average bear! 21:36, 31 October 2008 (UTC)
- They should, but im not going to do such a boring job if you wanna go thrugh them all you can --Guardian of Earth |SGMS 2010
- Yes they should be. Thanks for looking while I was gone. And thank you to UltimateSephiroth for actually changing it. R.A. Hunter B. 18:52, 2 November 2008 (UTC)
Comestic "Error" Trivia
About that, I would like to point out that this is the Torn World.... rules need not apply. I would not be surprised if this was on purpose. Keep in mind that the Platinum Orb is the most unique item in Pokémon History... it disappears in link battles with other versions. The Orb may be seperately programmed due to this. - unsigned comment from Paperfairy (talk • contribs)
- Please remember to sign next time. And for the Orb, this is in the Gen IV series. They wouldn't put things like that in. And I wouldn't go as far as saying that the PO is the most unique item. There is a set place to find it, while other items, like the Light Ball or Lucky Egg, are a very low find rate, and even then, it's totally random. R.A. Hunter B. 18:34, 4 November 2008 (UTC)
- Actually, I don't think this is an error, when I got Giratina in the Turnback Cave in Diamond, after I got back to its room, I found a Rare Bone, and when I picked it up the same thing happened, the "[PLAYER] received a Rare Bone" appears before the item disappeared. Maybe this isn't a "Cosmetic Error", it seems like its somehow linked to Giratina. Heaven Arceus 01:16, 5 January 2009 (UTC)
Mom?
Let's discuss this, then. I believe "Mom" is refered to as Johanna in the contest hall by Keira (and during contests). Does this seem like enough reason to call her Johanna? --Blazevoir!! 01:05, 18 November 2008 (UTC)
- That did come to mind, but it is more practical to just say "the player's mother". Glinn Mgraw 01:20, 18 November 2008 (UTC)
Exactly, the only reason Urutapu is being like this is because the original edit was made by me. --Guardian of Earth |SGMS 2010
- Uh, Admins (usually) aren't that shallow. All the other games didn't name the player's mom, but Diamond and Pearl, and I assume Platinum, did. However, would anyone ever call their own mother by their name? No, they would call her "Mom". Therefore, Bulbapedia should probably do the same. I have mixed views about this, so I think an Admin should settle this.--BlazevoirTalk Contribs 20:43, 18 November 2008 (UTC)
SUCK UP just cos someone is an admin doesnt mean they are right, it just means in the past they have added loads of stuff to Bulba.--Guardian of Earth |SGMS 2010
- Please stop arguing over things like this, Guardian. You've gotten into word fights with people before, and nobody likes to have to see that. R.A. Hunter B. 22:25, 18 November 2008 (UTC)
- And your being a troll over it. YAY!--DCM((Shut the **** upSpy on My Edits))
You know, Guardian, you would be tolerated far more if you didn't go around acting like a tool. Glinn Mgraw 01:26, 19 November 2008 (UTC)
OMG people, learn some terminology, you cant just go around using words cause they seem to fit, if someone calls your a tool it means you are easily manipulated and people use you, which i am not. And a troll is someone who goes onto forums and tries to disturb it and attack people. And its not disrupting the peace to sell someone they are wrong, and sse it through, just because you lot give up your views so you can suck up and be admins doesn't mean I am a troll. Glinn, I think you are the tool. --Guardian of Earth |SGMS 2010

Yay
Please don't touch the links for mom or Johanna in this article any more. They have been fixed by Kkllnn, and to avoid fights, don't change them again.
- And I realize that this sounds like I'm trying to be an admin, but I don't want to have things constantly changing in the articles. R.A. Hunter B. 22:43, 18 November 2008 (UTC)
I thought these pages were to help add on to the article! Please, i'm not from Bukbapedia, but i LOVE Pokemon,so if you will please suck it up! we are all people here! Does it matter if some of us are admins?? (although i have no clue what that is)! User: Kasumi12 19:02 19 November 2008 (utc)
- The pages ARE for helping, but people were fighting over how to do the links. And I was saying I'm not an admin (administrator), but my request made me sound like I was pretending to be one. R.A. Hunter B. 04:31, 20 November 2008 (UTC)
Wikipedia release date
over there they say that the Europe release date is Summer 2009, can someone check its source? UltamateCharizard 12:12, 22 November 2008 (UTC)
- The source does not say ANYTHING about the release date, not even for Japan. And you have to remember, Wikipedia isn't the best source, as anybody can go in and edit things. The Euro release date is a speculation, as is the U.S. release. We can only assume it will be released in the next year or so. The only thing said about releases in the source article is this: "If this feature makes it to the European release - and we've no reason to believe it won't - then we'll be very happy Bunearys indeed." And the quote is referencing the Wi-fi upgrades only. R.A. Hunter B. 18:31, 22 November 2008 (UTC)
Game before anime
the recent jap episode is clearly based on PT, you know the one with Rotom, so the game has to be released before that episode airs to follow the rule of game before anime. So if some geeks could work out when this Rotom episode should air in USA, then look around 3 months prior to that date, that would likely be the release date
- Evidence:
- In japan PT was released on Sep 13, 3 months later = dec 13, now admitedly the episode aired a little bit different than that date, but its still close. --Guardian of Earth |SGMS 2010
- Math time. The most recent episode came out about 5 months after it came out in Japan. So, based on your logic, Platinum would come out in February, right? I think that's a little too early.—BlazevoirTalk/Contribs 21:59, 7 December 2008 (UTC)
No, not my logic at all. How can i explain this better.
- this episode (Rotom one) is directly linked to platinum, as it is about a platinum only event.
- General rule is that the game comes out before the anime
- So if you can work out when this particular episdoe (Rotom one) will air in USA, then you know that Platinum has to come out before that.
So if there is a geek who is willing to work out when each episode will air, find out when the Rotom one airs in USA and then we know that Platinum will come out say 3 months before that. As Platinum needs to be released before an episode in the anime relating to Platinum can be released. If the general rule isnt to be broken. --Guardian of Earth |SGMS 2010
- Who says they can't stop airing new episodes until Platinum is released? UltimateSephiroth (about me · chat · edits) 21:35, 8 December 2008 (UTC)
good point, they could put the show on hiatus, although this has only happened once due to PGZ --Guardian of Earth |SGMS 2010
If I can remember right, the dubs come out anywhere from 1-3 months after the episode shows. This'll give us untill January-March to get Platinum if you're theory is correct, Guardian. Unfortunately for us, I doubt we'll get it by then... but who knows? The Pokémon translators have pulled through at times we wouldn't expect. R.A. Hunter B. 22:11, 8 December 2008 (UTC)
- If you get Pt within three months, you Americans are very lucky. My brother just bought a DS Lite and Pokémon Diamond, and it bugs me because I decided to wait until Platinum which supposedly lands in Europe as late as next summer... Let's hope the translators have switched the turbo switch on :P UltimateSephiroth (about me · chat · edits) 22:14, 8 December 2008 (UTC)
- Why don't you just order one when they come out here then? I know it would be a bit more expensive, but you would get it at least a month, if not more, earlier. Unless you don't care THAT much. I would be spazzing out if I lived where you do, from lack of Pokémon when I needed it. :) R.A. Hunter B. 22:20, 8 December 2008 (UTC)
- I give it April, still. It comes out the same amount of time after JpPt as USDP did after JpDP... April 7. TTEchidna 22:33, 8 December 2008 (UTC)

- The anime is moving fast, so I don't know about this. Unless the developers hurry up and get the game to us, season 12 will begin without it. Already, Shaymin is being revealed, but Arceus won't be until the game is released. Bulbapedian - Talk 22:52, 8 December 2008 (UTC)
Hehe... you guys took me too literally. I didn't really mean die. I meant we should hope it comes out in English and that the Japanses aren't selfish this time. BUT it already has an English release date, so we don't have to worry any more. R.A. Hunter B. 21:38, 9 December 2008 (UTC)
Possible release source
I dunno what you guys will think about this, but someone added to the WP article. [1] No idea how legit it is. — THE TROM — 05:14, 9 December 2008 (UTC)
- It was immediately removed from Wikipedia because retailers make up dates. However, I doubt things like the game's features (Wi-Fi Plaza, Distortion World) came from anywhere but Nintendo. Still, I'd wait for a press release directly from Nintendo.--Loveはドコ? (talk • contribs) 06:08, 9 December 2008 (UTC)
Why are you guys doubting Circuit City? If the game's good enough for them to sell it, then why would they lie? R.A. Hunter B. 21:39, 9 December 2008 (UTC)
- From like, half an inch above: "It was immediately removed from Wikipedia because retailers make up dates." It doesn't seem to be the case here, but it is the usual case.--Loveはドコ? (talk • contribs) 02:50, 10 December 2008 (UTC)

Um.... problem.
Why are we still saying the release date is good, yet the link doesn't work any more? And yeah, I realize that this contradicts what I said above this. R.A. Hunter B. 21:43, 9 December 2008 (UTC)
- Now that's odd, they pulled the whole game from the site :S I certainly don't know whether to believe that date or not. UltimateSephiroth (about me · chat · edits) 21:46, 9 December 2008 (UTC)
- Stupid Nintendo... I think that Circuit City did that accidentally then. (Why are we on at the same time every day?) R.A. Hunter B. 21:52, 9 December 2008 (UTC)
I checked Nintendo.com and it does not mention any release date for Pokemon Platinum in the US. So I don't think the date mentioned is accurate. drichard08 14:48, 10 December 2008

The Cruel Irony
Beckett was right. It was right about not only Ranger 2 coming out in Fall, but they knew that Platinum would come out in Spring 2009. And to think an unofficial fan magazine knew about it before it was even revealed in Japan... TorchicBlaziken (talk•edits) 23:05, 17 December 2008 (UTC)

Legendary encounters
If you read Pokemon.com's first english-texted picture of Pokémon Platinum, you will realize the text: "The Distortion World's Giratina appeared!" Instead of the usual "wild so and so appeared!"! I think that this will apply to all legendaries. In my opinion it's a cool thing underlining the uniqueness of Giratina(and maybe other legendaries) Uxie http://archives.bulbagarden.net/w/upload/f/f8/Ani407MS.gif 13:20, 18 December 2008 (UTC)

Trivia Section Error
"Platinum is the first game to be named after a metal since Pokémon Gold and Silver. However, both Gold and Silver are also considered colors, making Platinum the first game named solely after a metal."
I beg to differ. Platinum is considered as much of a color as both gold and silver. See: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_colors Marlowe 04:55, 21 December 2008 (UTC)
- Technically it isn't its own color. It's a silver, or a gray. It's like saying forest green and grass green are two totally different colors. They're both shades of green. R.A. Hunter B. 17:47, 21 December 2008 (UTC)
- Gold is a shade of yellow and silver is a shade of gray then. The Dark Fiddler - Nos hablamos? 17:48, 21 December 2008 (UTC)
- Basically. But they were discovered as metals first, and then gold and silver eventually became colors. If you ask somebody on the streets what the color platinum looks like, a lot wouldn't know. If you ask what color IS platinum, they would know. R.A. Hunter B. 17:52, 21 December 2008 (UTC)
- "Platinum" is still considered a color in the same sense that gold and silver are. To say that it isn't considered a color at all is both misleading and false. I've also read and heard descriptions of certain objects as being "platinum-colored", so it isn't completely unused. Regardless, this needs to be changed. Marlowe 23:24, 21 December 2008 (UTC)

- The beta pages are there for a reason. ΘρtιmαtumTalk 12:13, 11 February 2009 (UTC)
- Hmmmm... That is true. But, unfortunately it was removed from the page some time ago. It kinda started a bit of an edit war on the page.--Clarky13 12:18, 11 February 2009 (UTC)
Unprotect
Can we unprotect the page so people can edit the article, there is still a lot of stuff to be added, stuff that has been confirmed. But I can't add it cause it's blocked. Super-Max 18:05, 12 February 2009 (UTC)
- Yes, I agree. And someone needs to at the European release date, May 22, 2009.--Clarky13 20:33, 12 February 2009 (UTC)
Yeah, by now it should really be unprotected, I mean there's still a bit of info that needs to be added, yes, like the European release date. What admin can we get? I guess I'll put it in the page summary and if any admin sees this in recent changes, they'll hopefully check it out...--DRAGONBEASTX 05:52, 13 February 2009 (UTC)
- Yes, I'll BUMP it. Now its times like these I wish I was an admin.--Clarky13 11:50, 13 February 2009 (UTC)
There's a sigh... *SIGH*. When can we get it unprotected? Wait... if the admins think it should be protected until it comes out, we'll just have to live with that... I mean its just couple of edits and we're all mature people here, maybe an admin might put those edits on the page.--DRAGONBEASTX 11:55, 13 February 2009 (UTC)
- Maybe your right. Its just one date. They will come round with themselves soon.--Clarky13 12:03, 13 February 2009 (UTC)
- It's not just a date, what about renaming Wi-Fi Square and Battle Recorder to their official English names (Wi-Fi Plaza and Vs. Recorder, respectively)? Pokemon lover 14:51, 20 February 2009 (UTC)
- We're the main editing force, yet our right to edit is unfairly limited because of admins' fondness of protecting. And it's not always easy to find an admin online (especially if someone lives in Europe, just like me). There is NO REAL REASON to hold this page protected. I'm all for UNPROTECTING IT? --Maxim 15:48, 20 February 2009 (UTC)

- STFU! It IS something to be angry about! THERE IS NO FREAKIN' REASON TO KEEP THE PAGE PROTECTED ANYMORE! The admins just piss at us, so they don't unprotect the pages. --Maxim 10:59, 22 February 2009 (UTC)
- So, what time is it over in Europe. Its about 10:00pm here in Australia. We need an admin who lives in one of this countries to be on at this time because I have noticed the lack of admins on at this hour.--Clarky13 11:06, 22 February 2009 (UTC)
- That means it's late and you're still not on bed. D: 7:00pm in our country. Since no admin around at this time, we should wait until someone wakes up to respond for this problem. ►Ҝəυzø8 11:11, 22 February 2009 (UTC)
- It's currently 12 AM in my part of Europe. Yes, there's lack of admins here at this time and that's what annoys me. It's freakin' hard for me to catch an admin online, which stops me from editing really many pages. Another reason against that protect-mania among admins. --Maxim 11:12, 22 February 2009 (UTC)

- First, take it to the forums. Second, I doubt you guys could become an admin any time soon. And if you did, you'd have to change your attitudes. R.A. Hunter B. 02:56, 23 February 2009 (UTC)
The reason why it's staying protected until 3/22 is because people decide to jump the gun. We don't need that happening, we don't wanna waste edits to fix something that someone assumed. TTEchidna 03:20, 23 February 2009 (UTC)
People! I agree with TTE! Take this immature "discussion" to the forums! Plus, you shouldn't talk rudely about the admins. Its their choice and I will act maturely and respect that choice. When the time for unprotection will come, I know for one that it will be the right time, plus its the time it comes out in America. I trust the admins and I look up to them. So, everyone start acting mature.--DRAGONBEASTX 10:30, 23 February 2009 (UTC)
- Oh, so Maturity = Lickspittling! GTFO. I hate lickspittles. I still think that keeping the page protecting is just stupid. People jumping the gun? Come on, those are just n00bs. Experienced users know Bulbapedia's policies and rules and they know NOT TO jump the gun. Really, protecting pages for such reason is like... keeping a shop closed just because a thief may rob it while it's open. --Maxim 14:58, 23 February 2009 (UTC)
YOU, yeah YOU just don't get it...--DRAGONBEASTX 21:20, 23 February 2009 (UTC)
- Stop. Like I said, it's no big deal, you got your reason, now leave it alone. They protect it from everybody so the new users don't feel like everybody's hating them. R.A. Hunter B. 03:04, 24 February 2009 (UTC)
Email functions
On the Pokémon Platinum website, it doesn't have the email function appearently, just Wii message support. --Anangryzapdos 11:20, 26 February 2009 (UTC)
- I saw that in my game, too. Is there maybe a way to get past this?--Mew a.k.a. Prmatt11 at 19:00, 24 March 2009 (UTC)
Animated sprites
The article mistakenly informs that Platinum is the first game to have the Pokémon back sprites animated. It's untrue since that happens in every game since Emerald. Since the page is protected, a mod should correct it. Pokemon lover 15:15, 6 March 2009 (UTC)
- They're not the same kind of animation. In The other games, they just move back and forth or get bigger or something like that. In Platinum. They actually move. Such as Pikachu for example will move it's head to look behind it. Or Azumarril will do a little dance. -Sketch 15:51, 6 March 2009 (UTC)
True and False, I heard that Pokémon back sprites do what they do on the front. i don't know but i will find out. Anoritian
- What Sketch has is correct. They have different BACK animation than before, not specifically different animation from when facing the player. There may be some similarities in both front and back animation, but it doesn't really matter to add that. "Their back sprites now animate much like their front sprites" is perfectly fine. R.A. Hunter B. 19:08, 6 March 2009 (UTC)
- OK, now I understand. I didn't had the idea that I was talking about a different type of animation. Pokemon lover 22:27, 6 March 2009 (UTC)

Berry Accessories
The prices for the Accessories you can buy in Floaroma Town are cheaper in Platinum. Should that be put in? Diachronos 16:54, 24 April 2009 (UTC)
- If that is the case, then of course it should be put in. Pokemon lover 12:49, 28 April 2009 (UTC)
Speed of the game
Platinum is faster than Diamond and Pearl, no doubt. But can we consider it as fast as the Generation III games or almost as fast as them, in general and specific terms? It's because I added that information to the article yet saying "almost as fast if not as fast". Pokemon lover 13:12, 28 April 2009 (UTC)
- Leave it as it is. In some ways the Gen. III games are faster, while in some ways Platinum is faster. R.A. Hunter B. 17:38, 28 April 2009 (UTC)
- But still how do we consider if we put D/P in the subject? I understand you're point and it's right but talking about general speed, should we put this way: Gen III = Platinum > D/P or Gen III ≈ Platinum > D/P? Pokemon lover 18:30, 28 April 2009 (UTC)
- Nah. Saying that the gameplay is slightly faster is good enough. I'm going to reword it a little though. R.A. Hunter B. 18:45, 28 April 2009 (UTC)

Fossils in the Underground
How is it determined whether you get Skull or Armor Fossils in the Underground? I read in one place that it depends on your Trainer ID, but I'm not sure. Diachronos 17:42, 28 April 2009 (UTC)
- For D/P, they're exclusive. Pearl has Armor Fossils and Diamond has Skull Fossils. For Platinum, it doesn't matter. R.A. Hunter B. 17:50, 28 April 2009 (UTC)
- It does depend on your Trainer ID number. Odd gets the Diamond distribution, even gets the Pearl one. How lucky for me, I ended up with the Diamond one. TTEchidna 18:03, 28 April 2009 (UTC)
- Nevermind then. I haven't bothered to try getting any fossils, so I didn't know. R.A. Hunter B. 18:05, 28 April 2009 (UTC)

Missing Pokémon
According to the missing Pokémon section of the article, the only ones missing are the Clamperl, Misdreavus, Murkrow, Trapinch, Glameow and Stunky evolution lines. I can't imagine this being true, since I doubt that any of the starters (obviously bar the Gen IV ones) or the Generation II or III Legendaries are available. Is the list incomplete, or are they in fact obtainable in Pt? I haven't played it yet (stupid Europe release date...) so could someone clear this up for me? Ggled 14:04, 4 May 2009 (UTC)
- Those Pokémon have an in-game location in the two previous versions, but are no longer available in Platinum. ◄Kevzo8► 14:12, 4 May 2009 (UTC)
- Oh, ok. Thanks for clearing that up for me. Ggled 15:38, 4 May 2009 (UTC)

Huh, guys?
"Platinum's PRNG, or pseudorandom number generator, used for determining a Pokémon's personality value, is "broken", leading to the easier breeding of shiny eggs and negligence to reset in-game events such as what Trainers appear in the Battleground. This also happens with Pokémon Emerald. " Just wondering, but does this mean it's more likely for normal Pokémon too produce a shiny egg, or that if two shiny Pokémon breed (or one) it'll be more likely for them to have a shiny egg? ~~Takoto - サソデイ 19:28, 30 July 2009 (UTC)
Would it mean anything if I take this off.
at the beginning of the article, it says it "currently awaits for other regions" or something like that. can I take that off. Do you think they will release it in any other region of the world?--Midnight Blue 05:07, 4 August 2009 (UTC)
- We're gonna keep it up until they get announced in another region, or they announce that they won't translate it any more, although that won't be likely. We've done that for the past few games. R.A. Hunter Blade 18:50, 4 August 2009 (UTC)
It appears that the SHAYMIN has fled...
Hey, when I on the GTS, I came across a message. It was the text box for speaking in the game, and it said what the title above said. It happened when I was on the GTS selection menu (the Deposet a Pokémon, search for a Pokémon, and leave menu). I asking if this has happened to anyone, and if they know how this happened. --Spritemaster 1:09:37 23 August 2009 (UTC)
I need a second opinion about this.
I was looking, this is a minor detail but the English Pokémon logo on Platinum is actually brighter then on DP.--Midnight Blue 22:22, 29 August 2009 (UTC)
- Never mind that's not good for trivia so scratch that.--Midnight Blue 03:57, 30 August 2009 (UTC)
You guys over exaggerated how Team Galactic act in this game
So I noticed that in this section, you guys wrote this: "Team Galactic's plans for world domination and the layouts of their HQs, such as the one in Eterna, have been changed. In addition, they openly recognize their goal and are more openly villainous." Um, what? Seriously, wtf? Are you guys trying to make Platinum's plot sound more "mature" and "cool"? They don't recognize their "goal" anymore than they do in Diamond/Pearl. And "openly villainous"? Seriously? Just because you blow up the Great Marsh doesn't mean you're openly villainous O_o... Sounds to me like whoever wrote that is trying to make the game seem more "mature" and "hip". Because the plot isn't that different from Diamond & Pearl. --Chaos Rush 00:36:14 (UTC)
EDIT: Bah, who cares. Why am I even writing this? I'm just going to edit the article so it's not misleading. --Chaos Rush 05:40:20 (UTC)

A mention.
