Release information
This card was released as a promotional card. In Japan, it came with the February 1997 issue of CoroCoro Comic, released in January 1997. It was later released again as a special card at the JR Stamp Rally. The English version of the card was released through Pokémon card leagues in June 2002.
Trivia
A misprint was made on the English version of this card. Its Psyshock attack was printed as saying "Confused" where it should say "Paralyzed".
This card is commonly known as Lily Pad Mew, referring to its illustration.
Origin
Psyshock's Japanese name is that of Confusion, a move in the Pokémon games. Mew can not learn this move.
