All of the cards included in the set are reprints from the {{TCG|Vending Machine cards}} collection. These cards differ by not being printed on the same glossy card stock as their counterparts and by not having rarity symbols (as is the case with the majority of Japanese cards from fixed sets), making the reprints more valuable than the normal Vending Machine cards. The set also contains exclusive non-glossy holographic versions of Scyther, Moltres, Zapdos, Articuno and {{TCG|Master Ball}}, all of which are non-holographic in the normal Vending Machine collection. | | The gift set consists of two decks, the Red Deck and the Green Deck, which take their names from the first Japanese Pokémon games {{game|Red and Green|s}}. The Quick Starter Gift Set (Japanese: クイックスターターギフト Quick Starter Gift) is a special deck kit released in Japan for the Pokémon Trading Card Game.
Information
The gift set consists of two decks, the Red Deck and the Green Deck, which take their names from the first Japanese Pokémon games Pokémon Red and Green. All of the cards included in the set are reprints from the Vending Machine cards collection. These cards differ by not being printed on the same glossy card stock as their counterparts and by not having rarity symbols (as is the case with the majority of Japanese cards from fixed sets), making the reprints more valuable than the normal Vending Machine cards. The set also contains exclusive non-glossy holographic versions of Scyther, Moltres, Zapdos, Articuno and Master Ball, all of which are non-holographic and glossy in the normal Vending Machine collection.
In addition to the two decks, the set contains a rulebook, damage counters, two poison counters, two custom coins, a playmat and one Series 1 (Blue) Extended Sheet. The guidebook Understand How to Play Pokémon Cards Now: Newest Edition is also included, which features illustrations by TCG artists Kagemaru Himeno and Kouichi Ooyama, and promo cards Diglett and Dugtrio as inserts.
