:Usually a Pokemon needs to do somthing other than battle, however he has done a lot of that, others such as Paul's Magmorter and Trip's Conkeldurr got pages for just doing so much battaling. Kenyan/Keniyan

Either thing on the article is misspelled - the romanization contradicts the Kana spelling. He's either ケニヤン/Keniyan or ケニャン/Kenyan (with a small "ya"). So, which one is erroneous - the Kana or the Roman spelling? --Maxim 11:19, 21 April 2011 (UTC)

ケニヤン is how his name is spelled. It is just what Google translate said. --ケンジガール 11:35, 21 April 2011 (UTC)
But there has to be a specific difference between the two. ケニャン gets Kenyan, ケニヤン gets Keniyan, and since the two pronunciations are addressed in the episode (thank you, Ash), I don't think the spelling of his name is ケニヤン. Luna Tiger * the Arc Toraph 12:53, 12 July 2011 (UTC)
It is though... It can be seen in the credits and episode summaries spelled as ケニヤン. --ケンジガール 23:49, 16 July 2011 (UTC)
To add on to this, Takemitsu pronounces Kenyan's name as Keniyan after he defeats Bianca in BW040. His reaction to being called "Keniyan" is less than thrilled. I think this points out that people frequently mispronounce his name because of how it is spelled. Though it's ケニヤン, it's supposed to be pronounced as "Kenyan". At least that's what I'm getting. --ケンジガール 12:13, 21 July 2011 (UTC)

Sawk

To prevent further edit warring, I'd just like to ask people to please stop adding Sawk to Kenyan's history. Yes, we know Sawk will appear, and I'm happy you're all excited for it, but we don't need it on the page yet (In my opinion at least). We haven't said "So in so will appear with such and such Pokémon" before. That's what the TrainerPoké templates are for, which we have for Sawk, it's just hidden. Also, please do not assume it will appear in BW039, or BW041 because of the title. Who knows, it might make a small cameo prior to BW041. We don't know. So let's not assume, agreed? Let's just patiently wait and see what happens. Just bear with me and the rest of the anime editors for a little while longer. All good things come with time. Thank you. Kenyan's Zebstrika page

Given that Luke's Zorua now has her own page, should Zebstrika be given one now? It has played a major role in one episode and is due to appear in a couple of more, surely it's worthy of its own article? Watchermark 13:16, 16 July 2011 (UTC)

No. Not yet anyway. Blitzle was only in parts of an episode and still didn't do that much. Jo the Marten ಠ_ಠ 13:39, 16 July 2011 (UTC)

Proof of english name

I'm just wondering, how do we know his english name is Stephan, where/when was this confirmed? Zarthga 09:06, 11 August 2011 (UTC)

Here~ Jo the Marten ಠ_ಠ 09:08, 11 August 2011 (UTC)
Okay, Thanks. Zarthga 09:15, 11 August 2011 (UTC)

Ash

In the dub of BW028, Ash mispronounces Stephan's name mulitple times. I counted 3. Is this notable enough to put in the article? :--SuperAipom7 (Wanna chat?) 13:54, 13 August 2011 (UTC)

That's not just a dub thing. It's in the Japanese version as well. Why it's not here, I'm not sure. Ataro 14:03, 13 August 2011 (UTC)

Double kick

Should it be noted that both of Stephan's Pokémon can use double kick?thanks, Catboy41. 20:35, 19 September 2011 (UTC)

Not with only two, no. It wasn't considered notable that three of Ash's Pokémon could use Hyper Beam, so I doubt this is necessary. Toon Ganondorf (t c) 07:21, 30 December 2011 (UTC)

No, but Ash has a crapload of Pokémon and all 3 were from different regions or only learned after evolving in a different region. Just saying, I'm not disagreeing with you. Chowolun 22:30, 30 March 2012 (UTC) User:Lucario985

should we add that........

Stephan temporarily joins the group in BW069 for Ash's friends page? Chomper4 11:55, 8 March 2012 (UTC)

Yeah. If anyone wants to*.--ケンジガール 11:59, 8 March 2012 (UTC)

Stephan's Sawk

Considering he is gonna get 4 battles in the donimite as well and has been esstablished as his main pokemon, having competed in the competition today, shown personality and more, should we make this page? Diamond Lanturn CodeName: 05308 16:25, 8 March 2012 (UTC)

here Diamond Lanturn CodeName: 05308 18:51, 8 March 2012 (UTC)
For the record, get approval before making it next time. Don't ask, then immediately make it without getting a response. Jo the Marten ಠ_ಠ 20:06, 8 March 2012 (UTC)

"Nothing annoys Stephan more than when others mispronounce his name"

Really? In the episodes I've seen (BW028 and BW039) he seems quite used to people mispronouncing his name. It does still annoy him, but I think "nothing annoys Stephan more" is a huge exaggeration. --SnorlaxMonster 11:52, 14 March 2012 (UTC)

Stephan not Stephin

OK, I don't want to get into another edit war with Kenji-Girl, so I'm discussing it here. Stephan's name is mispronounced like "Stefin". However, it says his name is mispronounced 'Stephen' or 'Steven'. Stephen is pronounced "Steefehn", not Stefin. Also, he's never been called 'Steven' (pronounced "Steevehn"). サトシ 01:08, 6 April 2012 (UTC)

Here's the thing. 'Stephen' can be pronounced like 'Stefin'. Stephen is a real name while 'Stefin' is not. Also, they have called him 'Steven' during the Club Battle arc, notably Bianca and Freddy have.
Please keep in mind that not every word is spelled like it's pronounced. I went over this with you about Dent and 'Dento' I while back. Please leave this subject alone now. Thank you. --ケンジガール 01:58, 6 April 2012 (UTC)
This is a different matter than the Dent/Dento thing. In English you wouldn't pronounce Dent as "Dento". I am not saying Stefin is a real name, just how it's pronounced phonetically.
Please keep in mind that not every word is spelled like it's pronounced.
I'm sorry, but it seems like you're saying I'm not aware of that grammer rule (I went to Elementary School, you know!) サトシ 02:31, 6 April 2012 (UTC)

Badges

If he's entering the Unova League, then surely he'll have eight badges. Shouldn't that be entered in and hidden until the league starts? Sneaking from page to page... It's the page-editing purple ghost... Gengarzilla! 15:46, 19 November 2012 (UTC)

...Yes. Ataro (talk) 15:47, 19 November 2012 (UTC)
Ok, that's been added. Sneaking from page to page... It's the page-editing purple ghost... Gengarzilla! 15:54, 19 November 2012 (UTC)
We shouldn't be so quick to assume he obtained badges to get to the league. There are other methods to entering as shown in EP009. The episode may be old and in another region but they could always decide that he received the qualifications for the league through other means if this could happen. --ケンジガール 01:41, 20 November 2012 (UTC)
Don't forget the episode, The Ultimate Test, it also featured trainers being qualified to go in the Pokémon League. PattyMan 02:06, 20 November 2012 (UTC)
