Does anyone else think the Articuno in Freeze Frame used Mind Reader? (Specifically, the part about 15 minutes in where its eyes glowed red.) I get the feeling Ash and Todd feeling as though Articuno knew their intention was meant to hint at it having been used. (Plus it would explain how Articuno did know that. ;p) That dialogue might be dub-specific, though. (I have no way to check either way.)
