I know things like this change their names in translation, but perhaps the Tea Party was renamed as 'Societea' to avoid association with [[Wikipedia:Tea_Party_movement|the real-world evil cult of the same name]]? This reminds me of [http://advancewars.wikia.com/wiki/Orange_Star Orange Star (see Trivia)]. I'm considering whether that's valid Trivia; probably too speculative. :It may very well be that the Societea was originally called the "Tea Party" ''because'' of the Tea Party Movement in the United States. Japanese game designers aren't exactly above taking stabs at Americans and their stereotypes (*cough* [[Lt. Surge]] *cough*). However, the name was probably changed for the translation as to not get the Teapublicans pissed about yet another thing. Redirect

Honestly, i don't think we should have redirects to here from the pages of the different Societea members, because the pokemon guardian signs official website doesn't conceal the fact that they are villians, and each character's page is a stub. ----Desukaan563's userpage has a Value Formula to measure Pokémon worth (talk) 03:13, 30 November 2010 (UTC)

Tea Party

I know things like this change their names in translation, but perhaps the Tea Party was renamed as 'Societea' to avoid association with the real-world evil cult of the same name? This reminds me of Orange Star (see Trivia). I'm considering whether that's valid Trivia; probably too speculative. Colintron 13:46, 30 January 2011 (UTC)
