Mummy (Japanese: ミイラ Mummy) is an Ability introduced in Generation V. Two Pokémon have this Ability, both in the same evolutionary family.
Effect
In battle
When the user is hit by a contact move, the attacking Pokémon's Ability is turned into Mummy, overwriting the Pokémon's previous Ability. Besides spreading Mummy in battle, the Ability does not serve any other effect. The affected Pokémon's Ability returns to normal when they are returned to their Poké Ball.
Multitype and Mummy itself are the only Abilities not affected by Mummy.
Outside of battle
Mummy has no effect outside of battle.
