Origin

We might want to specify a leafy tree (I forget the technical term), as opposed to, you know, a pine tree. CoolDudeAl (talk) 06:12, 9 August 2013 (UTC)

I agree,Rai Marshall.It appears, in my mind anyway, to be based on something similar to, if not a Treant or an Ent. It seems to almost definitely be based on some sort of "mythical tree monster", perhaps like the one from the Family Guy episode "Petergeist", which if I am correct, in part at least, parodies "the Lord of the Rings" film series anyway with the popular meme quote "You shall not pass!". "Nerdiness" aside however, It certainly look to be some kind of mythical tree monster to me.--ShinyPatch (talk) 15:56, 13 August 2013 (UTC)

I didn't say they WERE bugs. Just because its a tree doesn't mean it doesn't have some basis on a bug that mimics a part of a tree. Look at Sudowoodo for example, its a rock Pokémon that micks trees.

And yes we have to wait for certain things to come to light, but it still highly likely to draw some basis on something other than trees Yamitora1 (talk) 11:30, 12 August 2013 (UTC)

Design Similar to a Virus

This could be entirely coincidental. This kind of thing shouldn't be added until we know more about the Pokemon, as bacteriophages are designed that way for a reason and any basis this Pokemon has on that will be evident from its flavor text. Crystal Talian 01:48, 16 August 2013 (UTC)

The Macron

Iirc this page was made on someone's userspace before being transferred to the mainspace. It was likely something they added that whoever moved it missed. There's certainly a lot of rumors that it is, but it's best not to assume. ^★Jo the Marten^★ ಠ_ಠ♥ 13:47, 1 September 2013 (UTC)

Grass

Orotto is at least partially Grass-type. Closer/clearer image from latest commercial

Only minor, but this single battle screenshot from one of the latest commercials gives the best view of Orotto so far (the Horde screen has its details blurred due to the zoom out, whereas single battle is clearer).
