It's known that maximum affection in the Pokémon-amie increases a Pokémon's critical hit ratio. Does it achieve this by adding one more stage, or is it something else entirely? I have an Absol with super luck, maximum affection, and shadow claw, which should bring it to stage 3 if this theory is accurate. Once I get the scope lens, I'll see if it automatically crits every time. [[User:Treehugger0123|Treehugger0123]] ([[User talk:Treehugger0123|talk]]) 01:58, 28 November 2013 (UTC)

While it is true that Farfetch'd will auto-crit when using stick and a high-crit move, this is a symptom of the larger changes to critical hits. It is also true that focus energy and a high crit move will auto-crit. I can see this piece of information being an ok place holder until the new critical hit stages have been researched, but it should definitely be replaced by a chart detailing the stages in 6th gen once the research is complete. Critical hits are now 1.5x damage instead of 2. The stages seem to have been altered as well, but testing is still being done to figure out exactly how. - unsigned comment from Ctom42 (talkcontribs)

Farfetch'd

While it is true that Farfetch'd will auto-crit when using stick and a high-crit move, this is a symptom of the larger changes to critical hits. It is also true that focus energy and a high crit move will auto-crit. I can see this piece of information being an ok place holder until the new critical hit stages have been researched, but it should definitely be replaced by a chart detailing the stages in 6th gen once the research is complete.
