She attended LaGuardia High School for Music and Arts, and made her first appearance on Broadway at age 16 as "Cookie" in the musical play {{wp|The Capeman}} from January 29 to March 28, 1998 at the Marquis Theatre in New York. In June 2000, she was handpicked alongside five others by [[John Loeffler]] who, at the time, was looking for new musicians for the 4kids dub of the anime. In 2007, she, Divine, and Yeyo formed The D.E.Y.,releasing their first album by June 2008.
