strike one - volcano lion chapter
Volcanion (Japanese: ボルケニオン Volcanion) is a dual-type Fire/Water Legendary Pokémon.
It is not known to evolve into or from any other Pokémon.
Volcanion has yet to be officially revealed by Nintendo.
Biology
Volcanion is a red quadrupedal feline Pokémon. The front of Volcanion's body is segmented from its back legs by a teal band. The front of its body is oval-shaped and is pointed at the end, resembling a mountain. Two large cannon-like arms are situated on both sides of the top of its body. These arms are decorated with three blue loops and three blue spots each, and have an equal amount of small steam vents lining the outside. These arms are usually conjoined by golden claws, but detach when Volcanion attacks. Its shoulders have orange rings around them, similar rings border where Volcanion's legs join to its shoulders and paws respectively. Volcanion has large paws with three golden claws and topped with a steam vent on one side. Its face is feline-like with large, pointed ears with teal insides. Its cheeks are framed by yellow protrusions that resemble fur. It has a yellow chin, and blue eyes, with large yellow eyebrows.
Volcanion releases its internal steam through its arms, and has enough power to knock down a mountain.

Trivia
- No other Pokémon has the same type combination as Volcanion.
Origin
Volcanion appears to be based on the Ryukyuan シーサー shisa, or 狛犬 komainu, mythical creatures inspired by lions, tigers, and dogs. It may also be based on a steam engine.
Name origin
