Also, a good idea is to give Jolteon alot of Carbos before the battle to increase it's speed so that it's even more likely to go first.

Here's the problem: although technically Vaporeon takes no damage from Water-type attacks while it has Water Absorb, the (UP TO 25%) healing it receives still applies it's resistance to Water. Personally, I'd rather list Water's effectiveness as 0, noting the hidden resistance on the Water Absorb page. What do you think? That okay? --ANinyMouse 03:35, 7 November 2006 (UTC)

Battling with Vaporeon

Here's a good Dubble Battle idea.

You will need:

Vaporeon with Hydro Pump, Surf, Ice Beam, and Blizzered holding Icical Plate or Splash Plate

Jolteon with Skill Swap, Rain Dance, Thunder, and Shock Wave holding Quick Claw

Once the battle starts:

1. Get Jolteon to use Skill Swap on Vaporeon so that Vaporeon now has Volt Absorb and Jolteon has Water Absorb.

2. Attack until both opponents are fainted. If Vaporeon's HP gets low, use Shock Wave. If Jolteon's HP gets low, use Surf (witch will attack both opponents as well as heal Jolteon)

Also, a good idea is to give Jolteon alot of Carbos before the battle to increase it's speed so that it's even more likely to go first.
