Release information

This card was released in the English Jungle expansion, originating from the Japanese Pokémon Jungle expansion. A promotional gold bordered print of the English print was made available in boxes of Pokémon Rolls for a limited time in December 1999. The regular border print was later reprinted in the English Base Set 2 and Legendary Collection expansions.

Trivia

Origin

Pay Day is a move in the Pokémon games that Meowth can learn. The Japanese name of the attack uses the Hiragana ねこ rather than the Katakana ネコ used in the video games. The card's English Pokédex entry comes from Pokémon Red and Blue, whereas the Japanese entry comes from Pokémon Red and Green.
