Quotes

  • Start of turn:
  • When asleep:
"Time to wake up soon, surely."
  • With low health or a status ailment:
"Hmm, this is no laughing matter..."
  • When victory is near:
"Looking good, I'd say!"
  • Otherwise:
"This is our job, after all..."
  • Start of battle:
  • When attacking a castle:
"I'm more than just a pretty face!"
  • When defending a castle:
"May the best man win!"
  • During battle:
"Boy, it's tough when you're fighting against women... Especially when they're pretty... Don't you think, <Pokémon's name>?"
  • When ordering to attack:
"It's <move's name> time!"
  • When ordering to go to battle:
  • To a kingdom:
"All right... Let's see what beautiful flowers are blooming on the battlefield today!"
  • To a wild Pokémon location:
"I get this feeling like...I'm gonna meet someone really great, you know..."
  • Upon forming a link:
"Let's go, <Pokémon's name>!"
  • When using an item:
"<item> time!"
"This should decide it!"
  • After winning a battle:
  • If he attacked a castle:
"What's up? Stunned into silence by this incredibly handsome man?"
  • If he defended a castle:
"Well, the ladies would have been sad if I'd lost, after all..."
  • When defeated:
  • If recruitable:
"Hey! I like the look of you, kinda..."
  • If defeated by something other than the enemy:
"I did not see that coming."
  • Otherwise:
"Retreat is as important a battle strategy as any other..."
  • When being recruited:
"At your service!"
"Hey, we've picked ourselves up quite a few allies. But there's still a lot of work to do... We need more! C'mon, <Pokémon's name>!"
  • When the player's army has conquered 10 kingdoms:
"Hey, <player>'s army is really coming along... High time we took them down a notch, I reckon!"

Profile

A sensible and uncomplicated Warrior who doesn't get hung up on trifles. He does, however, have a great love of women and will attempt to speak to any lady who passes his way.

Historical origin

Magoichi is based on the real-life Saika Magoichi of Japanese history, although the name itself is a moniker for at least three individuals, all whom were leaders of the Saika Ikki.

Trivia

  • Magoichi is the only Warlord with a completely unique transformation requirement.
