Ash & co. arrive in Tajiki Town and reunite with Gardenia, the Eterna Gym Leader, who is organizing a promotional activity for Pokémon battles. There, Team Rocket appears, and by the suggestion of Gardenia, Ash and his friends agree to have a tag battle with Gardenia and James as partners.
