In the Japanese version, as she throws her ball, she often shouts "{{tt|いくわよ,マイステディー!|Go, My Steady!}}". Is this notable enough for the Trivia section. If it is, is there any English dub equivalent? --[[User:Jda95|jda95]] 05:56, 1 February 2011 (UTC)

Seaking and Shellder

Doesn't she have these Pokemon at the Gym? I added them at the bottom of Cerulean Gym accessible pokemon. --Aquabender 22:28, 24 April 2010 (UTC)

Afraid of Bugs

From the article: "The only Bug-type Pokémon Misty is not afraid of is Ash's Heracross"

However, she showed no fear of ash's butterfree and thought it was pretty, iirc. Should this be added in?

She may not have been afraid of Ash's Butterfree, but she was scared of it before it evolved. It's still the same "Person" so she was scared of it. Just not in that form.--Billt[[User talk:Billyt506|506 22:31, 6 July 2010 (UTC)

If i recall, she also wasn't afraid of Arielle's Ledyba in The Wistle Stop. EpicShadow 20:49, 8 September 2010 (UTC)

Why isn't there any information on the Adventures version of this character? -TBustah

Jigglypuff

Didn't Misty befriend the recurrent Jigglypuff in its debut episode? Why isn't it listed in her befriended Pokémon? YukitoOoO 06:58, 8 November 2010 (UTC)

I don't know what the heck Misty is doing with a "Befriended" section anyway. It was ruled that Max is the only one of the main characters that was allowed to have a befriended section. --ケンジガール 07:52, 8 November 2010 (UTC)

Gym Pokemon

why don't the pokemon from the gym get pictures in her pokemon section.--Solidadrox 05:53, 13 November 2010 (UTC)

Go, My Steady

In the Japanese version, as she throws her ball, she often shouts "いくわよ,マイステディー!". Is this notable enough for the Trivia section. If it is, is there any English dub equivalent? --jda95 05:56, 1 February 2011 (UTC)

"Ikuwayo , mice Teddy" is what Google Translate gave me for that. Heh. Tyciol (talk) 08:18, 8 November 2015 (UTC)

Misty mermaid.

In article it says how Misty has been showed wearing "hair extensions" in "Misty Mermaid" and "Cerulean Blue". Such thing has never been said or implied in those episodes and Misty has been showed having longer hair in some other episodes like "Princess vs Princess" too.

Maybe part about extensions should be edited out, because it is assumption not being known if that was her hair or not. --Pokemon fan 132 09:39, 18 April 2011 (UTC)

Future appearances.

Does Kasumi really need a future appearances subpage? Takeshi, Haruka, Masato, and Hikari don't have one, and the stuff about Mayumi Iizuka and her High Touch appearance can easily go in the trivia page. - unsigned comment from PowerfulStarmie (talkcontribs)

Episode count:

In the Trivia Section on Misty's page, it shows an episode count of how many episodes each long term female companion has appeared. It says Misty has 280 episodes.. which is a bit inaccurate. In the Original, she appeared in 273 episodes, and added on the 5 episodes she got in the Advanced Generation, she got 278 episodes. Unless the flashbacks and side stories count to, but that would effect the other girls to: With Flashbacks:

  • Misty: 280
  • Dawn: 201
  • May: 198
  • Iris: 141

With side stories:

  • Misty: 281
  • Dawn: 201
  • May: 197
  • Iris: 141

Both side stories and flashbacks:

  • Misty: 283
  • Dawn: 202
  • May: 198
  • Iris: 142

Without both Side stories and flashbacks:

  • Misty: 273
  • Dawn: 200
  • May: 197
  • Iris: 140

Please tell me how we handle the episode count. Sorry if you round it to the nearest, but considering the numbers used for both May and Iris, I don't think they are I know it does not effect the total much but i would prefer knowing how the count was handled, thanks - Waterninja12345 (talk) 13:08, 20 August 2014 (UTC)

Borrowed Golduck's gender

I know Misty borrowed a Golduck in the anime and this Golduck is male. However, when shown with a Golduck in Generations 2 and 4, Golduck is male in the first times that the player battles her. However, in Misty's Generation 5 appearance, Golduck is either male or female. Since Golduck is 50-50, is this anime-based or games based? WATERWarrior67 20:38, 7 December 2014 (UTC)

Misty is not the same as Misty (anime). This is solely for the character from the anime. glikglak 20:50, 7 December 2014 (UTC)
I know that. However, I've watched the episode (quite a few times), and I don't recall the mention of a gender for said Golduck. WATERWarrior67 20:52, 7 December 2014 (UTC)
Then why did you not mention that and instead talk about completely unrelated Golduck? glikglak 20:59, 7 December 2014 (UTC)

Add?

I don't know where I'd add this, or if it's notable for that matter. In [M07|Destiny Deoxys]], Misty makes a cameo appearance. The cameo in itself is interesting because it's a flashback from (fibro fog; advanced apologies if I name the wrong movie) "Pokémon Heroes". So, is it notable, or not? Misty is one of my (many) favorite characters, and I was wondering if this can count as an appearance, albeit a cameo flashback. Let me know! WATERWarrior67 20:49, 26 December 2014 (UTC)

Yawa surname

I happened across http://www.answers.com/Q/Is_Misty's_last_name_really_Waterflower which has a person deny the question but instead propose that in the Japanese version of the anime series she is given the surname "Yawa" and that this is removed in the English dubs.

I'm attempting to trace when this idea earliest appeared on the net and if there might be any validity to the claim. Found https://ca.answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20090622135949AAEdJzf which has someone named Mathis 2 years ago say she self-identifies as this in Spell of the Unown, a film which debuted 8 July 2000.

Although I haven't listened to it, some wayback archives appear to support this idea being present at the time:

  • 24 January 2000: no mention of Yawa
  • 3 August 2001: "we at aaml have found out her last name in the Japanese version. It's Yawa. Her full name being Kasumi Yawa. Her full name was revealed in the 3rd Pokémon movie"

So while we can't call her "Misty Waterflower" or "Misty Yawa" (unless someone finds they did somehow carry it over into the 3rd film, I don't remember it) we could say the original name of her anime version is "Kasumi Yawa", right?

I'd prefer if we could narrow down the exact time in the film she says this though, so that those of us curious about verifying could go and check the raw audio to affirm she says this.

Does anyone know if any subtitles reflect this at some point? Perhaps someone with the file could share a six second clip of it on Vine.co if it exists? Tyciol (talk) 08:14, 8 November 2015 (UTC)
