This old, but I thought I would point out the significance of Brine. In Sumo wrestling it is tradition to throw salt into the ring in order to purify the arena and drive off malicious spirits. Brine is water with a high concentration of salt dissolved into it. The fact that Hariyama has Brine as it's level 1 move is most likely a reference to the salt throwing tradition of Sumo and it might be worth noting it. --[[User:Vanya|Vanya]] ([[User talk:Vanya|talk]]) 12:25, 6 April 2016 (UTC) |

Brine
(Buizel1991 17:05, 27 February 2011 (UTC)) Shouldn't it be noted in the trivia about Brine? I'm pretty sure no other fighting types have that by level up, apart from maybe Poliwrath.
EDIT: Never mind, i did it, sorry if i wasn't meant to :L
- Why is Brine special? It's not a Fighting-type move, so why should it be noted that only a few Fighting-types can learn it? Werdnae (talk) 00:53, 1 March 2011 (UTC)
Buizel1991 00:57, 1 March 2011 (UTC) Hariyama is a pure fighting type, i just find interesting that it can learn a water move, despite being Pure Fighting, i never said a few could learn it, just him and Poliwrath (which is part water)
- Yeah, that's not notable. Most Pokémon can learn moves of other types. It's not at all special. Especially given that Hariyama isn't weak to water moves. Werdnae (talk) 01:03, 1 March 2011 (UTC)
