Rebecca (Japanese: ヒトミ Hitomi) is a character from the seventh Pokémon movie, Destiny Deoxys. Her Japanese voice actress is Becky, and her English voice actress is Lisa Ortiz.
Character
She is an incredibly intelligent young girl and whenever anything captures her interest she will point her laptop towards it and study it. Like many other girls, Brock is smitten with her.
History
Rebecca along with her friends Rafe, Sid, Audrey and Kathryn came to LaRousse City to compete at the Battle Tower. There she met Ash Ketchum and his friends, but when a mysterious aurora borealis appears over the city she begins studying it to discover more about the unusual phenomenon along with Professor Lund's assistant Yuko. When she and her friends are introduced to Tory Lund he took them to a special garden where he would go to have conversations with his special friend, she soon grew interest in Tory's mysterious friend after she discovered it shared the same energy patterns as the aurora and began to study it to find out more on the matter. When Deoxys attacked the city she and the others took refuge in Professor Lund's lab until things settled down. When Yuko informs them that a green gem of a destroyed Deoxys was the thing that Deoxys was looking for, Rebecca and the others work together to restore power to the city so they can regenarate its body.
Other appearances
She made a second appearance in the opening of Pokémon Ranger and the Temple of the Sea, where she could be seen fighting Brendan's Swampert with her Tyranitar.
Rebecca makes a cameo appearence in Pokémon Diamond and Pearl on Route 224 as a female Cool Trainer using a Level 56 Metagross. She mentions using her laptop to analyze battles in her speech. However, this easter egg was not recognized by the translation team, which named her Jamie.
