Face boards are a feature that have appeared in the games Pokémon Platinum, Pokémon Black 2 and White 2, Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire and Pokémon Sun and Moon. A face board is a 2D, upright board depicting a Pokémon or person with a hole in the face. When the player stands behind the face board, the player's face fills the hole. In Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire and Pokémon Sun and Moon, standing behind the face board causes the camera to zoom onto the face board.

- Pastoria City: A face board of a Croagunk in front of a forest background is situated outside the entrance to the Great Marsh.
