== Raikou, Entei and Suicune Sprites ==
Many years ago, when I was playing Pokémon Leaf Green in the VBA emulator, I was just bored and started to click in every grass spot looking for items in the end of Route 23 (after Victory Road) (I've made worse things when bored, like cleaning the largest Fortree route using Cut in Pokémon Ruby). At some point I distracted myself, and when I looked back after hearing a cry, Suicune was there (by the way, my started was a Charmander). The dialog box was there as well, with his cry, like in legendary encounter. He looked to the left and vanished. After that Suicune was added as seen in my Pokédex. I wanted to see it appearing, so I loaded my save and try to do the same thing again, but with no success; I couldn't make him appear. I guess I simply don't know what caused it, but it wasn't clicking. Maybe being in an exact position in an exact moment, or for long enough time. If anyone look for events in that part of the map it should be there.

One infobox

Wouldn't it be better if we had both pictures in the same infobox (somehow). The page looks kinda messy. Takharii ~ Talk! 23:41, 25 April 2010 (UTC)

I can merge them into one file, but I dunno if I should... CuboneKing 23:43, 25 April 2010 (UTC)

Does anybody have the locations of these islands?

I could plug in a cheat to warp there and get more information - unsigned comment from Shadowater (talkcontribs)

Yeah, that'd be nice. Rip png screenshots of their map locations if you can. —darklordtrom 06:15, 5 June 2010 (UTC)
According to the game's you-know-what, Sevii Isle 6-9 are between Three Isle Port and Resort Gorgeous. 22-24 are between the Tanoby Ruins and Navel Rock. TTEchidna 22:50, 5 June 2010 (UTC)

Unincluded Sevii Isles

Could we change this page so it is all of the unincluded Sevii Isles, not just 8 and 9 (with the appropriate move of course)? --SnorlaxMonster 11:43, 25 June 2010 (UTC)

Would "Beta Sevii Isles" or "Inaccessible Sevii Isles" make a better title? —darklordtrom 09:51, 27 June 2010 (UTC)
Yeah, my title was just what I could think of. I think "Beta Sevii Islands" would be better. Perhaps even "Other Sevii Islands". --SnorlaxMonster 02:22, 30 June 2010 (UTC)

Extra routes

It seems obvious to me that "Sevii Isle 6," "Sevii Isle 7," &c. are unused routes in the Sevii Islands route system. Just look at the index numbers: if Kindle Road is route 1, then our mysterious locations correspond to routes 6–9 and 22–24. (This also gives us a definitive ordering and numbering for the Sevii Islands routes.) But why does all the discussion treat them like they're additional islands? —Typhlosion 02:30, 19 August 2010 (UTC)

Because the names ingame are 'Sevii Isle 8' and 'Sevii Isle 9'. They are unused islands, not routes. Kindle Road is clearly not an island, while these are. --SnorlaxMonster 08:40, 19 August 2010 (UTC)
It actually makes sense to me that they are beta names for the routes. At some point the developers must have decided that they wanted to give them names rather than potentially confuse people with two Route 1s in the same game. —darklordtrom 23:38, 19 August 2010 (UTC)
So at some point there going to be 24 Sevii Islands? If these are "clearly islands," that's exactly what it means. But they aren't clearly islands: the map data for 'Sevii Isle 8' and 'Sevii Isle 9' are prototypical water routes, not new islands. Furthermore, the location index numbers plop these right in the middle of the Sevii Island routes; the cities all come earlier. I don't believe these location indices are evidence that there were going to be more Sevii Islands, but that the existing islands were going to be larger, incorporating more routes until the Sevii Islands were scaled back at some point in production. —Typhlosion 19:14, 29 September 2010 (UTC)
They are clearly routes as they are programmed as such, given AdvanceMap's output of their map data. I updated the article accordingly as well as the respective information on the article about the development of FireRed/LeafGreen. SatoMew 23:07, 7 November 2012 (UTC)

Glitch?

Is there a reason this is listed under glitches? It doesn't seem like a glitch to me. It's Funktastic~! 02:36, 17 February 2012 (UTC)

Town Map?

If you came here and opened the Town Map, what would happen? Would it crash? --Abcboy (talk) 23:15, 7 November 2012 (UTC)

Nope. Sevii Isles 8 and 9 appear on the Town Map. Here are screenshots from Japanese FireRed/LeafGreen proving it:
Sevii Isle 8: SeviiIsle8_TownMap.png
Sevii Isle 9: SeviiIsle9_TownMap.png.

SatoMew 00:05, 8 November 2012 (UTC)

Although speculation, this could mean that they were originally routes connected to Four Island. --Abcboy (talk) 00:09, 8 November 2012 (UTC)
Wait, what about the other unused Sevii maps? --Abcboy (talk) 00:10, 8 November 2012 (UTC)
Only Sevii Isles 8 and 9 have map data. Sevii Isles 6, 7, 8, 22, 23 and 24 only have index pointers but no map data. SatoMew 17:26, 8 November 2012 (UTC)
Depending on where you are on the map, the marker moves. Also I found Sevii Isle 6 and Sevii Isle 7 to be one tile; oddly they're both connected to Three Island city via upper part. 6, 7, three times 8, and twice 9. Marked +-+-+ (talk) 19:06, 8 November 2012 (UTC)
Well, yes, I did move a bit on the islands but the routes are not that extensive to cause a significant difference in their marked location on the Town Map. And I don't exactly get what you meant with the screenshots you linked to. SatoMew 19:18, 8 November 2012 (UTC)
It's their location according to Town Map, duh. First one is Isle 6, second is Isle 7, next three are Isle 8 and the last two are Isle 9. Marked +-+-+ (talk) 19:41, 8 November 2012 (UTC)
Yes, but you said that they were connected to Three Island on Kin Island from "the upper part" (north?). Yet all your screenshots show the Town Map section for Floe and Chrono Islands, not Knot, Boon and Kin Islands. And how did you warp to Sevii Isles 6 and 7 if they have no map data? What about Sevii Isles 22, 23 and 24? SatoMew 20:04, 8 November 2012 (UTC)
Yep, north as in pressing Up button; dunno why that happens. 6 and 7 have map data (albeit it's literally one tile that seems to be black nothingness; see it for yourself). Couldn't find map data for 22, 23 and 24. Marked +-+-+ (talk) 20:11, 11 November 2012 (UTC)

Move to Sevii Isles

Just gonna chuck it out there that the page should probably be moved to the beta page and given it's own section there, as opposed to being moved to Sevii Isles. --Spriteit (talk) 01:43, 8 November 2012 (UTC)

I agree and have already done that. As an article, it's pretty small so it's better suited as a section on the development article of the games. I'm going to mark this one for deletion. SatoMew 19:10, 6 January 2013 (UTC)
Yeah, there really isn't enough about them to deserve their own page. I think just making them a section on the beta page is best. --SnorlaxMonster 19:17, 6 January 2013 (UTC)

Beta route? I call bullcrap. Pix or it goes. TTEchidna 09:01, 16 September 2009 (UTC)

If this is the source used, then it's a cruddily done hack to alienate people. If it were an actual route, then the trees would have at least lined up! Gywall Talk 10:22, 16 September 2009 (UTC)
Hackrom obviously. In real FR/LG there are no weather effect. It's a really n00bish hack. --Maxim 11:37, 16 September 2009 (UTC)

I opened a rom of FireRed and found a move called Conversion3. Maybe it's a beta move? Could someone check their ROM to make sure mine wasn't already hacked. I tried a few different ROMs and they all have it. Pokemon1234567890 01:17, 4 August 2010 (UTC)

Anti-piracy message?

This discussion does make the message look really suspicious. I personally have had my doubts about it in the past and these people have dug through the games' code and found nothing that proves its existence. SatoMew 18:16, 6 February 2012 (UTC)

Beta images

The images on the bottom for weather could be viewed via Firefox or whatever browsers that can view anipngs, but on those that cannot, they look odd... can someone fix those images? Thanks. ht14 18:11, 16 March 2012 (UTC)

I know that it sucks but uploading GIFs is discouraged so I uploaded APNGs. Perhaps I could replace them with new ones where the final warping scene does not show up but the uploading rules are already set. SatoMew 12:53, 9 April 2012 (UTC)

Cloudy

The "cloudy" weather effect is used in Viridian Forest, I'm not sure whether or not to remove it from the table or just change the line next to the image. Can someone edit this? --Nepse 11:56, 8 June 2012 (UTC)

Done. Thanks for pointing it out. SatoMew 11:45, 25 October 2012 (UTC)

"Unused" maps

Only those maps that are alternate versions of the Hoenn ones are the unused maps. The others that are "duplicates" (for example the Seafoam Islands map or Trainer Tower floors) are not unused, just hidden. The purpose isn't unknown either. Those are the maps taken as reference by the game after some flags are set, and copies the reference map to another offset. Taking as example the Seafoam Islands map, after the player has thrown the rocks through the corresponding holes, the game copies the map listed as "unused" in the article to where the original map is and replaces it, so you get the impression that the water current has been blocked. hfc2X 07:51, 10 June 2012 (UTC)

Sevii Isles

The Sevii Isles are not islands and wouldn't be the alternate name of the archipelago. They're programmed in as routes. At least that's the output in AdvanceMap. I'm going to change the article accordingly. SatoMew 20:20, 7 November 2012 (UTC)

I noticed that if you look at the location index data, and start counting from Kindle Road (make that "Sevii Isle 1"), Sevii Isles 6-9 and 22-24 are actually in the correct place. What this could imply is that originally, the Sevii Island "Routes" might be numbered. And more importantly, based on the map data, Isle 8 is likely a scrapped route to the NW of Four Island (the little brown part at the bottom of Isle 8's map kind of fits to the top left of Four Island), and Isle 9 is likely a scrapped route to the SE of Four Island (same reasoning). Judging by the size of Four Island (smaller than the others, save Two Island, Birth Island, and Navel Rock), it was probably meant to be much bigger during development Briguychau (talk) 10:00, 18 January 2013 (UTC)

Steady snowing.

Snowing? The only place in RSE that weather has place is Route 113, which has grass filled with ASH, not snow. Is it really called that? Marked +-+-+ (talk) 11:08, 24 November 2012 (UTC)

Pre-release Bulbasaur and Charmander sprites

Leaving this here for someone with uploading privileges. Yamiidenryuu (talk) 04:49, 14 December 2012 (UTC)

Can't you upload on the Archives? I would, but I'm on a mobile device right now. --Abcboy (talk) 04:53, 14 December 2012 (UTC)
I have no idea. I think I tried it once and got told I didn't have privileges, but that might have been the wiki, not the archives... I'll try that later. Yamiidenryuu (talk) 15:40, 14 December 2012 (UTC)
