Does this move reflect the actual attack, or just the status? If I use this and get hit by Confusion, does the damage go back too? And who's stats does it use? And is it the same chance of the Status Ailment, or is it modified? --ZellMurasame 06:05, 24 December 2007 (UTC)
- Okay because it says "It reflects moves that inflict a Status ailment", so I figured I'd ask. It would be tricky to reword it to say only the Status is reflected without it being very lengthy... something like "If the foe uses an attack that can cause a Status Ailment, Magic Coat reflects the ailment back to the foe" might do the trick. It might also be worth mentioning that it is increased priority. --ZellMurasame 08:55, 24 December 2007 (UTC)
- That's not what I meant. I was saying we need to change the description because it says it reflects the attack, not the ailment. But anyways, isn't that already done? Yes, yes it is. They're under "List of moves that _____". I guess I should make a "List of Moves by Effect" page that at least links them all together. --ZellMurasame 16:09, 24 December 2007 (UTC)
When are attacks reflected? Do the attacks have to be used on the same turn as Magic Coat, or does the user "wear" the Magic Coat for a few more turns? TorchicBlaziken (talk•edits) 20:08, 11 April 2009 (UTC)

Teeter Dance
This says that Magic Coat reflects Teeter Dance after Gen V, but this doesn't happen in Gen VI. Was it changed again, or is that incorrect? Hidden (talk) 05:27, 17 April 2017 (UTC)
Riolu/Lucario
They don't seem to actually learn it. I've checked with other Pokémon to make sure which Tutor actually has Magic Coat, but he doesn't seem to offer it for Riolu OR Lucario. Just saying. --Phred 18:43, 5 May 2010 (UTC)
"Move tutor" section edit
In the section of Pokémon that learn by move tutoring in HGSS, Azelf has, instead, the tiny image of Gallade. Is it possible for someone to change this? I don't know how, neither if I'm able to... --Konoma 20:24, 7 December 2010 (UTC)
