Toolbox (Japanese: どうぐばこ Toolbox) is the place items are stored in Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team and Blue Rescue Team. It has a maximum capacity of 20 items. Items held by team members are not considered to be in the Toolbox.
If the Toolbox is full, new items cannot be obtained in mystery dungeons or purchased from the Kecleon Shop. Job rewards will be sent to Kangaskhan Storage if the Toolbox is full. In some dungeons, a Kangaskhan Rock can be used to exchange items between the Toolbox and Storage before finishing the dungeon.
Toolbox is obtained as a part of Rescue Team Starter Set after clearing the first mission.
In the anime
Team Go-Getters own a Toolbox in Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Team Go-Getters Out of the Gate!. It is carried by Squirtle.
