The person who wrote about the blow-up punching bag is correct. I don't know if there is a separate name for it (different than simply "punching bag"), though, so I just linked to the Wikipedia article on "punching bag." I also added the name of Sanpei Hayashiya, the comedian in question. -[[User:Argy|Argy]] | The person who wrote about the blow-up punching bag is correct. Ummm.... how, in Trivia, does Wobbuffet use Encore? It doesn't learn it according to the moves list DanJimi 07:54, 10 January 2008 (UTC)

>Does anyone remember the name of the Japanese celebrity this Pokemon is based on? The comedian who would tell humorous stories, then put a hand to his head and go "Sonansu!" The full data used to be up on Itomaru's site, which is apparently dead.

The part on here about 'buffet' refering to how it strikes its forehead...I don't think that's true. The image I get is one of those blow-up punching bags with sand in the bottom, and no matter how hard you hit it, it just pops back up.
Well, I was about halfway to insane running through all these name etymology sections. I probably focused on the hit repeatedly part instead of buffet...
As for the toy you are talking about... I think that's what Baltoy is supposed to be named after, no? Not sure though. - 振霖T 10:01, 27 Mar 2005 (UTC)
Um...no, not even close...
