Effects
In battle
- Boosts the power of Psychic-type moves used by affected Pokémon by 30% (50% prior to Generation VIII), regardless of whether the target of the move is affected by Psychic Terrain.
- Prevents grounded Pokémon from being being hit by opponents' moves with increased priority, including moves boosted by Prankster, Gale Wings, or Triage.
- Moves that target all Pokémon (except Perish Song, Flower Shield, and Rototiller) and moves that target all foes cannot be blocked by Psychic Terrain even if they become priority moves.
- Activates the held item, Psychic Seed, regardless of whether or not the holder is on the ground. This boosts the holders Special Defense by one stage, and consumes the item.
- Changes Nature Power to Psychic.
- Changes users of Camouflage and Mimicry to Psychic-type.
- Gives Secret Power the added effect of lowering Speed by one stage and gives it Confusion's animation.
- Causes Natural objects to disappear while in effect. They cannot be destroyed while terrain until they return.
