Now, I don't have Sword and Shield, so I can't test anything there myself, but if you tested something there and found out that what we had on the page was incomplete or inaccurate, you didn't communicate it properly. If that's the case, I would suggest you explain in detail here, or on Mimicry's talk page, what is it that you found out. :@Suic Oh right. I totally forgot that the effect of for example Soak ends after the Pokémon gets switched out. I'm sorry. But then this line of text at the end of the effect section of Mimicry can be removed completely. Mimicry does not get activated when the Pokémon's type gets changed. --DeXter03 (talk) 14:37, 2 June 2020 (UTC) |

Mimicry
What I meant here when I said it doesn't make sense isn't that the effect you described shouldn't happen, it was that that effect (reseting the type and activating the ability) happens independently of the Pokémon having Mimicry or not, meaning, for example, that any Pokémon that was affected by Soak or a similar effect would change back to its original type when switched out, and any Pokémon with an ability that activates when a terrain is in effect would have its ability activated when switched in with a terrain on the field. More than just that, you also removed important information that a Pokémon with Mimicry that had its type changed will immediately change back to the correct type (acording to the ability) when a terrain is in effect, without necessarily having to switch in and out.
Suic (talk) 13:00, 2 June 2020 (UTC)
