- This article is about the expansion for Pokémon Sword and Shield. For the location in the Galar region, see Crown Tundra.
The Crown Tundra (Japanese: 冠の雪原 The Snowfield of the Crown) is the second expansion in the Pokémon Sword and Shield Expansion Pass. Featuring the Crown Tundra, the theme of the expansion is "exploration". It will be released during Northern Hemisphere fall 2020 (Southern Hemisphere spring 2020).
It will be preceded by The Isle of Armor.

The character Peony will appear.
Pokémon
A patch will be released in conjunction with the launch of The Crown Tundra. Players can access these new and returning Pokémon even if they have not purchased the Expansion Pass with the help of trading and Pokémon HOME.
New Pokémon and forms
The Legendary Pokémon Calyrex will debut in The Crown Tundra.
Galarian Slowpoke can be evolved into Galarian Slowking using an item found in the Crown Tundra.
Five other new Legendary Pokémon have also been revealed. Two of these Pokémon are new Legendary titans: Regieleki and Regidrago; the other three are regional forms of the Legendary birds: Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres.

Legendary Pokémon Dens
Many Legendary Pokémon from the past can be encountered as Dynamax Pokémon and caught while the player is exploring underneath Pokémon Dens.
They include Mewtwo, the Legendary beasts, the Tower duo, the Eon duo, the Weather trio, the Lake guardians, the Creation trio, Heatran, Cresselia, the Forces of Nature, the Tao trio, the Aura trio, the Guardian deities, and the Light trio.
Customization
The protagonist can wear exploration gear and new fashion items will also be available.
Co-op play mode
Players will be able to explore Pokémon Dens to find Legendary Pokémon from previous core series games.
