:That's a result of the MISSINGNO. glitch (the Cinnibar Coast bug), not the result of the Rare Candy Cheat. The Rare Candy cheat is itself a result of the Cinnibar Coast bug. --[[User:DavidJCobb|DavidJCobb]] 17:35, 15 March 2008 (UTC) | |||
The reason the item count is changed is because every Pokemon has a "Pokedex" bit that tells the game its Pokedex status (0=not seen, 127=seen, 255=caught) and that the reason your items are altered is because MISSINGNO.'s Pokedex bit is in the same location in memory as the amount of the sixth item in your inventory. (which is why the items will always be changed to ?28 (128) (or ?55 (255) if you catch MISSINGNO.)) Should I add this to the article? --[[User:DavidJCobb|DavidJCobb]] 17:35, 15 March 2008 (UTC) | |||
