Sweet and Tart Apples?

This simply needs research and documentation. From my experience:

  • Near Hammerlocke's western Pokemon Center is a youth asking for an Applin; at the end of the cutscene he will give you a Tart Apple (in Pokemon Sword).
    • It's possible that in Pokemon Shield, this NPC will give you a Sweet Apple instead.

I wouldn't consider it unusual if wild Applin can be found carrying either type of Apple, but they are already an uncommon encounter in the wild, so I can't confirm. --Stratelier 17:45, 15 December 2019 (UTC)

Yes, in Shield you do get a Tart Apple in the same way. For more, I've found them as random drops (same apple as given in Hammerlocke) under the tree on Axew's Eye island, along with two cooking apples. It's not there every day, so drop research needed. SJ (talk) 10:30, 9 January 2020 (UTC)
