I think Ferroseed might also be based on [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arctium burdock seeds], which are round, spiky, and easily stick to things (like how Ferroseed sticks to cave walls).

Name

Should it be mentioned that Ferroseed (a thorny Pokemon) has 'rose' (a thorny plant) in its name? --ルレ 05:29, 21 April 2012 (UTC)

Stealth Rock

Ferroseed can learn Stealth Rock through breeding, and it's listed as such in the Stealth Rock entry. So someone should fix that. I'm not particularly good at editing. PowerPlantRaichu (talk) 03:49, 8 February 2014 (UTC)

Leech Seed

Ferroseed can totally learn Leech Seed by breeding with someone in the egg group. E.g., my female Ferrothorn and male Venusaur passed Leech Seed onto the child. Should start a new section in Breeding for Leech Seed and add in the compatible Pokemon.

Possible Origin

I think Ferroseed might also be based on burdock seeds, which are round, spiky, and easily stick to things (like how Ferroseed sticks to cave walls). Pseudonym (talk) 16:50, 11 December 2020 (UTC)
