Demographics

New Bark Town's population is about 10. This makes it the smallest population in Johto.

Name origin

New Bark Town's name comes from the fact that Generation II introduced 100 new Pokémon, as well as a reference to the fact that all of the towns of Johto are named for plants. Wakaba (若葉) means new leaves or fresh verdure.
