Sprigatito (Japanese: ニャオハ Nyaoha) is a Grass-type Pokémon introduced in Generation IX.
Along with Fuecoco and Quaxly, Sprigatito is one of three starter Pokémon of Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.
Along with Fuecoco and Quaxly, it was the first Generation IX Pokémon to be revealed to the public on February 27, 2022, through a Pokémon Presents video presentation.
Biology
According to the Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet Website, Sprigatito is Capricious, attention-seeking Grass Cat Pokémon.
Trivia
Origin
Sprigatito appears to be based off a kitten.
Name origin
Sprigatito may be a combination of sprig and gatito (Spanish for kitten).
Nyaoha may be a combination of ニャー nyā (the sound a cat makes) and 葉 ha (leaf).
