Snow (Japanese: ゆき Snow) is a type of weather introduced in the main series games in Generation IX. It replaces hail.
It will last for five turns if created using Snow Warning or Snowscape, or eight turns if created by a Pokémon holding an Icy Rock. The move Chilly Reception also creates snow and switches the user out.
Snow raises the Defense stat of all Ice-type Pokémon by 50%. Unlike hail, snow does not damage non-Ice-types. Properties of snow are otherwise the same as hail in previous generations.
