Face boards (Japanese: 顔出し看板B2W2ORAS or 顔ハメ看板SMUSUM photo stand-in) are a feature that have appeared in the games Pokémon Platinum, Black 2 and White 2, Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, Sun and Moon, Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon, and Sword and Shield. A face board is a two-dimensional, upright board depicting a Pokémon or person with a hole in the face. When the player stands behind the face board, the player's face fills the hole. In the Nintendo 3DS games, standing behind the face board causes the camera to zoom onto the face board.
