Route 17 is also known as "Cycling Road". It's a favorite hangout for motorcyclists and bicyclists. Only people with Bicycles or Motorcycles are permitted to travel on the road.
There is a grassy area in the north of the road where wild Pokémon nest.
Route 17 is bult on an incline. It dips down from Route 16 in the north to Route 18 in the south. Traveling towards Fuchsia City is a breeze. The slog uphill towards Celadon City is considerably slower and more difficult.
