This card was included in the Scarlet & Violet expansion with artwork by Kouki Saitou, first released as one of eight Japanese SV-P Promotional cards available in the Let's Start Playing Pokémon Card Game! campaign Promo Pack that was given to customers who bought 10 packs of Scarlet ex or Violet ex at select retailers starting January 20, 2023. A Full Art SV Black Star Promo with artwork by Akira Komayama, was made available in the Miraidon version of the Scarlet & Violet Elite Trainer Box. A second version with the Pokémon Center logo above the Retreat Cost was available in the Miraidon version of the Scarlet & Violet Pokémon Center Elite Trainer Box.
