Northern Range (Japanese: 北の山脈 Northern Range) is a dungeon in Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team and Blue Rescue Team and Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Rescue Team DX that contains 25 floors.
The Northern Range can be accessed once the Southern Island Rescue Team Camp has been purchased, in addition to certain requirements. In the original games, HM Surf must have been obtained from Solar Cave. In the remake, Buried Relic must be unlocked following the completion of Stormy Sea, and The Mystery of the Mirage Pokémon quest must be started by meeting Spinda in Pokémon Square.
The morning after these requirements have been fulfilled, a robbery takes place in Pokémon Square. The culprit is followed to the Northern Range and must be defeated to learn its motivation. Once the dungeon has been completed for the first time, a sequence of events will occur, giving the player access to Pitfall Valley.
Gameplay
Latios will stay in Pokémon Square after being defeated. It will freely offer to join the rescue team on the completion of Pitfall Valley, alongside its sister, Latias. Kecleon Shops can appear in this dungeon.
In Red and Blue Rescue Team, there is a random weather effect on floors 4, 8, 11 and 15. The dungeon features rocky terrain with ponds for 1F-7F, a craggy area filled with mist and clear water for 8F-16F, and a snowy peak for 17F-24F.
In the remakes, the dungeon features rocky terrain for 1F-11F, and snowy terrain for 12F-24F.
