HAL Laboratory, Inc. (Japanese: 株式会社ハル研究所) is a video game developer that was founded on February 21, 1980. Its current CEO is Masayoshi Tanimura, and its current president and COO is Satoshi Mitsuhara.

Satoru Iwata was one of its former presidents, who later went on to become president of Nintendo until his death in 2015.

The company has been involved in large projects such as the Kirby, EarthBound, and the Super Smash Bros. series. It employs around 106 employees and has made games for the NES, SNES, N64, GameCube, DS and Wii.
